Hello all, totally agree @Fairygirl, why the government allowed the sale of fireworks but expected idiots to stay at home. In my neighbourhood the were 50 people letting off fireworks in the middle of the road. Handing out sparklers, cheering and hugging and kissing before all going into a couple of houses, about 15 people in each. All this while I'm looking after my oh who has suffered a sickle cell attack and has been in bed for 4 days... am I angry? Too right I am!
Hello folks, grey and cold here so not going out. Only just taken the tree and decs down, didn't feel like it yesterday. Having problems with my nose which makes breathing difficult. Your move will be fine @Busy-Lizzie, if you've a spare bedroom in the new house, just put all the boxes in there for the time being. As long as they are well labelled, you can then unpack them at your leisure. No parties round here that we are aware of thank goodness. Your NDN sounds a right tosser, you'll be glad to get rid of him @punkdoc. Sorry to hear your OH is poorly @WonkyWomble, hope he gets better soon.
@Busy-Lizzie hope the packing is going well. I found it helped to label each box with contents and the room for which it was destined. Saves a great deal of time and endless questions from removal men when you get to the new place. Put a post it or tie a label on each piece of furniture too and a label with a number on each bedroom door in the new house.
Still miserable outside and there's snow elsewhere in the Vendée so I'm going to cut out a frock for Possum but I might need to trim my fringe first.

Thank you for the advice @Lizzie27 and @Obelixx. I will be labelling all the boxes but the removers are packing so I will have to follow them. I have already bought Post-its, yellow for what I am taking and pink for the few things I'm leaving. I'll write which rooms on them. I have made up to scale plans of the rooms with the furniture placed in them.
