    Hello all.
It poured in the night, grass is very squelchy.

I've been ordering roses from the special offers of https://www.promessedefleurs.com/ventes-flash.html/  Doesn't matter if they are a bit weedy as I'll put them in the veg garden and plant them out in their places, which aren't ready, next winter.

    Hi all

Snowing again and bitterly cold, I am not venturing outside, in fact I have only just got up.

Very wise @punkdoc ... do you think we could teach our bodies to hibernate?

I think they may well have those genes already @Dovefromabove.  It's just our perverse human brains that tell us to get up in the cold and dark and go to work instead of staying tucked up warm.

Ergates, sorry for not replying before. We’ve been watching tv. In bed now and ready for sleep.  I’ve just remembered that the dentist won’t be there on Monday because it’s Australia Day and a public holiday. However, I don’t have a temperature so I’m assuming I probably don’t need antibiotics.  Hopefully, anyway.  Thanks everyone for your support

    Catch up tomorrow.

Let's hope the aches and pains go so you can enjoy Oz Day @Pat E

Possum was asking about Burns' Night the other day.  I explained it involves haggis and Scotch whisky.   End of interest then - doesn't plan on getting acquainted with haggis and prefers Irish whiskey.

  • @Pat E I thought Australia day was Tuesday this year,  mind you it's some old ejits birthday too so might have that wrong 😂
After another grey start the sun came out so we had a couple of pleasant hours in the garden . Cold winds finally drove us in.

    Wow, that's fantastic @Allotment Boy.
We saw yesterday that they had signs up at Lansdown Racecourse for a Vaccination Centre which is very near us, so hopefully we'll get ours soon.
There's always the possibility of course that we'll have to go miles away.
