Morning everyone.  Dove,Hubby told me that the timber dries out at a rate of 1cm per year, so the thicker branches might be a few years yet. It’s ok, I’m just glad to get them off our fences.😃

Just watched a young boy sliding down the hill in the snow on his tummy ... no sled, just lying on the snow in his coat and ‘swimming’ through the snow with his arms 😂

  • Oh to be young @Dovefromabove. 😅😱

Shock horror here, I've put on 0.3 of a kg. 😱 It must be muscle development. 🙄🙁😱I won't be deterred though, steady away. The sun is out so a long walk will be undertaken shortly. 🙂

  • Bit of snow here too but it's turned to rain now.  I've been out to salt the front path as we are expecting a Sains delivery before 10.  Our front slopes down quite steeply with a couple of steps. We alternate with W'rose as it can be difficult to get slots so if we can't get a slot for one we use the other.

It’s good to know that there’s still enough of the child in me to get excited by the sight of snow ... but not enough that I’m tempted to go out in it and bu&&er my knee ⛄️

Not this child! @Dovefromabove not great weather to be a gardener! Doesn't look like our roads have been gritted and its been a blizzard out there since 6am! I've cancelled my work for the day! Sweetie the ex shed cat is on a cushion on the window sill looking at the snow and purring at the fact she's not out in it!

Morning everyone!  Hi @Pat E - you've got a lovely day there!  Not too bad here in Ireland either, though a bit chilly.  Still no snow.

@WonkyWomble - enjoy your enforced day off...  Sweetie clearly knows when she's on to a good thing.   :)

If we had snow here, @Dovefromabove , and the grandchildren were here, I'd not be able to resist having a go on a plastic sheet on snow...  but maybe it's time I learned a bit of sense...

I wouldn't worry about weekly "ups and downs", @D0rdogne_Damsel - muscle weighs a lot more than fat, but looks much better.  You'll be fitter and healthier because of the exercise & diet anyway.

Hope your visitors appreciate the effort you've made for them, @Busy-Lizzie...

    Keep safe everyone.

Grey and murky but not drismal here.  Will be wet soon tho.  Mix of sewing and DIY for me then.

@D0rdogne_Damsel you need to count the centimetres, not the grams.  If you're exercising you'll easily weigh the same or even more but you'll take up less space.

Best just to admire the snow if you have it rather than risk going out and slipping.  Safe driving and walking for all those who have to work or do the shopping.   Stay safe.

Hi Liri. Yes the temperature lowered a bit today, hence us getting out there. The last week has been unbearably hot, so we jumped at the chance to get some more work done.  We still have to go back and finish off tomorrow, so I hope the temps stay down a bit. We both ran out of steam today 🙄

Afternoon all! Our snow has turned to rain and slush now!
@Liriodendronglad your not too sensible 😁

@D0rdogne_Damsel I think in winter we Are allowed some extra padding,  i start my paying attention to what I weigh in spring when you can actually notice the difference as we are wearing less layers then.  I allow myself half a stone winter fluctuation weight ☺ you run a cake business,  it's your responsibility to test! 😉
