    I'm sorry @floralies - that's a tough call.

Nice photos Lyn. We quite often walk for an hour or so without seeing anyone 'round here, but not so much during lockdowns - there are more people about, perversely.

I had a letter today telling me I should get a free flu jab. I haven't been old enough in previous years but they've dropped the age limit. I can't decide what to do. I'm not going anywhere that I might catch the flu, so it seems a bit pointless. And the one time I had the jab, a couple of years ago (I paid for it) I then caught flu anyway. But on the other hand, an ounce of prevention and all that. Oddly OH - who is older than me - hasn't been sent a letter. And he's the one doing the shopping so if either of us might get it, it would be him  :/

It's not news that Trump is a nutter, but I have to admit to having been really shocked by the news this morning. Having already been pretty shocked by the news last night of the Covid figures in the UK and Fergus Walsh's report from an ICU.

Bit of a glum day - sorry. At least the sun was shining. Think I'll go and watch Death in Paradise for a bit of winter sunshine  B)

He was 52 last Saturday @Nanny Beach.
It is a difficult one @AuntyRach we wanted to wait until his wife finished her chemo which she did on Christmas Eve, she has been worrying about him and he about her! Maybe there just isn't a right or a wrong time about these things, like so many events through life!

Terribly difficult @floralies, all I can say was what I did when patients relatives asked me whether they should tell loved ones information I has passed to them.
My view was always we do not have the right to withhold information, which may alter the way someone lives, or dies.

Sorry to hear your news Floralies. I can only send my best wishes and hope things get better.

The news here this morning has advised that there might be an incident of the virus in my home town and my 85 year old sister still lives there. 🤭. I know she is careful and that she has children and grandchildren around, but I can’t help worrying. We keep in touch by email, so that’s good.

    Morning and G’day.

No snow and the car doesn’t look too icy so that’s a good start.

    Have a safe day everyone.

    Hi everyone.

We made the effort, at last, to start cutting up one of our next door neighbours  trees that were caught up on our fence. Poor Hubby had to keep stopping for a rest (still weak after chemo), and me as well, between moving branches off the track that we drive on.

We still need to ga back and pick up all the cut branches, but maybe we will have the energy tomorrow. 🙄

    Hope your are all well.

  • Morning,

That looks like a lot of hard work @Pat E, at least you have sunshine. Very unfair of your neighbour not to at least help.

Sunny here but -3 when I took Charlie to school. I had put the windscreen cover on the car and I have been warming it up 10 minutes before we set off so not too much of an ordeal.

I am doing a Mexican Takeaway evening this evening so will be busy preparing that later on. Not so many this time - yet - the French are notorious for reserving at the last minute which is very infuriating. I can't afford wastage so just get exactly what I need, so if someone rings at 6pm - which they do, it's too late. Annoying as it could be another sale but then if they don't ring it's wasted or at very least we have to eat it when we would rather not. Anyway, it's a marketing exercise more than anything, just keeping our name out there and looking positive in the world's eyes.

I have a birthday cake to make for someone tomorrow too.

My little seedlings are starting to come through too, the Tithonia are looking very strong, my friend sent me the seeds from her plants last year. They produced a great show. https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/87678/Tithonia-rotundifolia-Torch/Details

Off to do my Joe Wicks workout now before I start work, weekly weigh in tomorrow, not sure if I have lost any weight but I am feeling brighter and more energetic now I am off the chocolate, mince pies and Christmas cake.   ;)

Good day to you all an special hugs and thoughts to those with heavy burdens, life is very tough sometimes.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️

@floralies  🤗 , for what it’s worth, I agree with Punkdoc. I wouldn’t withhold information from an adult.

Great pics @Pat E ... it looks a lovely day to be working outside ... but don’t overdo it ... either of you. Have a ☕️ 🍪

Thank you @punkdoc and @Dovefromabove, I think you are right. The time has come to tell him. We didn't want to do it earlier when he was trying to deal with a close  colleagues death at work and all his other issues, but yes I agree with you.
