Edit to previous post: Stuff not staff (that’s a Freudian slip from me - not me being squiffy).
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Evening all, Yes I'm fine @Liriodendron and @Dovefromabove , just a few aches and pains but nothing serious.  Hubby drove me over to Secondborn's and we watched the boys this afternoon for a couple of hours so that she could do a supermarket shop.  I only tried to take those boys out once to shop and it was an absolute nightmare.  I don't know what she would do if we weren't able to bubble with her.  Since she has separated from her husband she has developed a whole new respect for single mums.

Glad you are fine @Yviestevie and that your daughter has you to bubble with. My sister has bubbled with her daughter and looks after her 2 girls when needed as daughter is a midwife and single, husband died from cancer.

Sorry I upset your wine @Dovefromabove, hope you had another one.  ;)

I had 2 glasses of Chardonnay, not squiffy, takes 3 :)

Kitchen is taking ages to unpack, I'm not sure it will all fit.

@Busy-Lizzie I hope the unpacking goes OK and that you settle into your new house quickly.

I’m almost scared to say our temps this week. We’ll be in the 30s for the rest of the week😡 I can see myself spending lots of time inside. Absolutely hate the heat.

Isn’t it always the way. Just when we had made the decision to do something about the trees draped over our perimeter fence, the weather gets too hot to be out there. We try to keep our perimeter fences driveable in case bushfires come back. The fire trucks need to be able to get around.

My best wishes to all of you who have snow and icy conditions. At least you can put more clothes on.😃

I’m out of practice ... and now I’m wide awake in the middle of the night ... that’s the effects of the wine too ... it used not to do that ... 🙄

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    thank you @Pat E ... I got off to sleep around 3am ... after a warm drink and a banana ...

Now OH has woken me up and made me a coffee ☕️ so I don’t sleep in and totally skew my sleeping routine.

I’ll get up in a minute ... there’s bread to make and veg to prep for tonight’s supper of roast chicken.

Morning all/afties @Pat E - indeed. Not much you can do when it's that hot. Cold is far easier to deal with.
Dear dear. @Dovefromabove's been on the sauce again. I don't know..... :D
Glad you're ok @Yviestevie. Being a single parent does get a bit easier, but when they're very small, that's much harder, and especially when they're not at school etc. Take care of yourself x
Murky here, and most of the snow/ice is gone, but our back lane is still a bit iffy in some places. Should all be gone today. although the ground will take a while. Warmer now [+3 ] than it's been for over two weeks.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
