We were digging through our vinyl collection over Xmas and enjoyed playing our Ivor Cutler selection. It must have been John Peel that introduced most of us to his work, wonderfully surreal stuff.
Looks a bit dank and murky out there at the moment but it matters little as I'm stuck inside all day anyway.
Whilst my 'expected' hours are 8am-7pm, I can flit in and out as I'm working from home. I've been at my laptop at some strange times during the last couple of months but, as long as the work gets done, everyone is happy. However, does that justify somebody ringing me at 9.30pm with the most trivial, unimportant question ever? I feel like I'm on call 24-7 To make matters worse, I happened to be watching a game on Sky that I was quite interested in. Just send me an e-mail, you %*&$!!!
Apologies folks - somebody got out of the wrong side this morning
Good to see you @Pat E love frittata 😋. Think tonight’s supper will be a mushroom risotto, followed by poached greengages and yoghurt.
@Biglad that is totally out of order ... I would not be at all happy ... do you have a ‘sleep’ Do Not Disturb option on your phone? I would have that switched on after 8pm I’m would think ACAS have some guidance on that.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Very wet start here too, I think the whole country is getting the same. I saw a programme on Ivor Cutler sometime before Christmas I wonder if it was the same one, as there are a lot of repeats on at the moment. Got to the Allotment yesterday but it's looking unlikely today. SM delivery due between 9&10 looking like the biggest event of the day 🤨
Or just the first part of that message @Biglad... Morning all/afties @Pat E. Glad you're cooling down a bit now. I forgot to look in here yesterday - I've just realised. Difficult @Obelixx. A very mixed bag of emotions for you to deal with. The barn cost doesn't sound much easier either. Always the way. Glad your daughter is safe and warm @Lizzie27. I was never an Ivor Cutler fan, but I thought some of you might see that. JW had a lovely prog on Sunday - Bowie tribute. Hard to believe it's five years. Sleety rain and icy here today after a frosty one yesterday. Not quite as chilly last night though. It's just about up to zero now. Very odd swings of temp recently. Ground is still frozen solid.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'd need some serious tech training to progress to 'numpty' level, d-fab
It's a new device that was forced on me recently. I'm able to call folk, answer calls, text, take photos and turn the torch on. That's everything it does, right?

Maybe I should have, "**** off - footy's on" as my voice mail message?
