Morning all, freezing fog here so I haven't ventured out. OH has gone to the pharmacy so hope he's okay. Looks really treacherous out - abt -2.5.
Shocking scenes in US, woke up at 3am with a coughing fit so was watching it on my laptop. Hope they can charge Trump with something - anything!
Lovely photos Lyn, Charleston was shown I think on the Cornwall walks with Julia Bradbury last night. We stayed there once, just overnight when the tall ships were in.
Hello all, -6 deg here last night, this seems to be the coldest winter we have had for a long time. The goldfinches were all waiting in the trees for the feeders to be replenished, still no sign of any chaffinches or greenfinches. Looking foreward to pumpkin soup for lunch. I'm struggling a bit at the moment as my son has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension now since the Covid and he is very depressed, not sure what to say or do to help him, he is always so stubborn in accepting help and advice from people. We decided that we wouldn't tell him about his uncle who only a short time to live as we thought he may not be able to cope with that at the moment, but I don't know if that is the right thing or not. Sorry to be rather down, I will pull myself up again! Stay safe and warm all.
Brrr! You all sound very cold over there. We aren’t hot, but about mid teens today I think.
No rain again, but no surprises there. Just large dark clouds. 😡
Ive watched a bit of news regarding the US rubbish. I’m so glad that we don’t live there. I had to laugh when they said he’d been barred from a couple of the online media sites. It must be like having his hands cut off. 😂
it’ll be interesting to see the progress over there.
It's freezing here too and foggy on our way to the SM today so a slow drive but all the others were being sensible too so OK. All done and stashed now and, apart from a visit to the chooks, we'll be staying firmly indoors.
Feeling rather dumbfounded by events in the USA.

We’ve had freezing fog here. I’m glad my short commute doesn’t take me on the motorway - I hate driving in fog.
This must be very difficult for you @floralies. Survuving critical illness isn’t always the celebration people make out. I am sad to hear that he has after-effects. It’s always tricky to know whether to tell somebody who is in a dark place, about sad news. Do you think he would be more upset knowing or not knowing? You could test the water by saying he is unwell but you didn’t want to bother him with that etc.
I really hope we don’t have snow tonight, I can’t be bothered with all that faff and we cannot cope if people can’t get into work either.
