@star gaze lilythat makes a lot of sense 12 grapes and the 12 months of the year. Thanks for the explanation. My daughters most potent cocktail has a measure each of vodka, coffee liqueur, amaretto and Baileys shaken vigorously with ice, lovely but strong. Have a nice evening all.
Thank you lilysilly and SGL for my new bit of knowledge for today. I had never heard of that tradition before but its quite interesting. I had a long chat with Joyce's daughter who rang me today. This seemed a little spooky as I told her we were thinking about Joyce yesterday and that she was mentioned. She hadn't realised the depth of Joyce's involvement in the forum but was quite pleased by it and mentioned some of the characters Joyce had spoken about. It was nice to have a catch up with her. I'm signing out now people. See you all tomorrow.

Morning Ruby, Debs and all to follow Seems so very dark this morning, when I woke up I thought I'd woken up too early. Debs hope you have a good day at work. Aww, Ruby your garden sounds lovely with the flowers coming through already. I've got primroses still in flower from last spring, hope they still flower this year! See you later, need tea! 😉☕☕
A very good and belated morning to everyone. I woke in the night and went back to sleep so I had a little lie-in.
I most certainly will pass on your regards SGL. Ruby, I noticed some cheery primroses peeping through the snow in the tubs outside my front window. I might get a picture taken later but it is very, very frosty outside at the moment. Debs, I too hope that you have a quiet day but at least you will get lots of new year greetings from your colleagues and customers - which is always cheery. Go carefully eveyone and keep warm.

Good Morning Rubee, Debs, SGL & LB and all to follow, Rubee your garden will be bursting into life with all those bulbs planted, look forward to seeing them flower, Debs hope work goes well today and not too slippery out, Lily It is very dark & dull this morning, I’m taking that as a sign to stay in bed a little longer 😊 LB I hope you enjoyed a lie in, lovely to have a call from Joyce’s daughter so nice she has kept in touch with you. All too soon it is coming round to the anniversary, I hope she and her family are keeping well, Hazel I loved the last Elf story you tell it so well, so naughty I bet 23 was very Cross to see what mischief he had been up to. Charlie bear sounds a wonderful companion, he is going everywhere with him 😀 I hope you all have a lovely day ahead.
Now this is how to spend the festive season! My Aussie sis-in-law just sent me these - sorry but the pictures do not want to show. You'll have to take my word for it that they show koalas enjoying themselves!

My little splash of sunshine in the acer tub in the front garden. There are others in there but none as opened as this. It went through all the snow and frost - admittedly the house probably affords shelter but to see this yesterday - as Hazel hints at - was very heart warming.
