Chive you might like one of those brollies that don’t blow inside out and have two layers.  I have a domed one and it covers well and I can see where I’m going.  Hope Santa helps.  Hazel wishing your daughter well and hope she feels better soon.  This is my morning msg.  Wishing you all a good night.

Morning everyone .Yvie , so sad to hear of Barbara Windsor’s death .LB that’s a lovely pic and quote.I was woken at 6/50 by the telephone. Jumped out of bed thinking there must be a family problem .Telephone had stopped ringing ,picked the handset up ,it was bleeping. Listened to my messages .(you have some back taxes . Please press 1 for further information ) .🤬🤬🤬🤬.
I was so angry ,I cleaned the bathroom ,had a wash and went back to bed .

Morning. These scam calls pretending to be from HMRC can be a nuisance. Handy brother gets quite a few. Its the irritation of actually having to get to the phone to answer it only to find its a waste of time. My phone tells me who is calling or reads out the number so I can ignore it if it isn't someone in my contact list. I can then do an internet search of the number to find out who might be calling and then I can choose to block the number. The ones designated 'International' can't be blocked but at least I don't have to answer the phone.

  • Morning everyone,
I was awake just before 5 too, seems like one of those nights for a few of us again.
That was early for a nuisance call Ruby, I would have thought the same that it was a family problem.  We've got a phone that blocks calls too, but unfortunately some still get through. We had one a couple of weeks ago where the chap on the end was rather rude because  I wouldn't give him any information and put the phone down on me 🤣🤣

Another rainy morning. SM delivery  due between 10 & 11.
    Need another tea.
    Have a lovely day everyone

Good morning all. Sad to hear about Barbara Windsor but on a brighter note a good friend from work has a new baby girl. Bella, as pretty as her name! Born yesterday and mom and daughter doing well.
I was in merry hill myself last night but didn’t get much, I think the large chains will close eventually it’s so much easier to buy online but maybe that will clear the way for the little independent retailers where you can pick up something really different or have stuff handmade to order. So many young people seem to have taken up the traditional crafts again it’s encouraging to see.
Cold and wet here so no walk today. Will have a phone conversation with sister instead. Bit worried about her as first anniversary of Mom passing looms closer. Personally I am just so relieved that Mom went before all the restrictions on care home visiting began as she wouldn’t have coped at all.
Take care all, enjoy your day!
