Chive my wet things are still damp too.  I hope your son enjoyed his fishing.  LB I hope Jack is well from his jab and will be protected after the second jab.   The Astra Zeneca from Oxford is yet to be rolled out.   Hazel I’m glad you’ve had time for both of you to warm up after clearing the leaves outside.  I hope you’re all enjoying your Sunday.
  • Thanks Hazel Sitting in the cold waiting doesn’t appeal to me much either. Glad you’ve thawed out from clearing wet leaves time for a hot brew ☕️
Thanks Rosie, yes wet things hanging on the airer again. How is Alfie now, has he finished all the medication?
    Have a nice afternoon All.

Chive, Alfie’s stopped taking his meds and seems happy in himself.  They can be a worry.  Thank you.
  • That’s good news Rosie 👍

Wonderful news Rosie. Jack and his daughter are going away over Christmas apparently and they have asked me to look after their cats (jack's Kitty and his daughter's two which includes the one that was missing for 4 years). I am going across to Jack's tomorrow to find out all the details. Socially distanced of course. I am curious as to where they are going. I do know that they are away from 23rd to 27th wherever it is.

  • Evening everyone,
LB It’s lucky you are able to take care of their pets for them, perhaps they’ve booked a cottage somewhere. How is the estranged cat now, have they settled back into home life ok?
Hazel Don't do yourself a mischief while you’re trying to finish the blanket,
    Have a nice evening everyone.

The estranged cat is settling in well Chive but the other cat is still a bit hissy spitty at it. Apparently its chip is still working on the electronic cat flap so it has been in and out a few times. I would rather, for the few days I am looking after them, that the cat flap is locked shut so that they cannot get out. I would not like a fight or for Candy (the nomad) to go missing again.
Hazel, I went to the Bliss website but it wasn't particularly helpful. It mentioned that the local neonatal unit should be contacted to see what they actually wanted in terms of knitted goods and there were a few patterns for bonnets and toys - no blanket pattern. They also mentioned that no knitted goods should be sent directly to them. I decided to give it a miss after all that.

  • LB That’s a worry you don’t need, hopefully you can allay any concerns you have tomorrow when you speak to Jack about the arrangements.

Yes Chive, I will need to feel quite happy about Jack's daughter's 2 cats. Jack's cat, Kitty, is a sweetie and so easy to look after.
