Hello LB, Rubee and Chive. Chive it’s good your car insurance increase is minimal. Have a good day. It won’t be long before you break up. LB great you can talk to handy brother early in the morning. Hope he’s doing well. It will be good when you get together. Have a good day everyone.
I am just back and unpacked from 'sco. Picture the scene: I arrive on the car park which is very lightly dotted with cars and the skies open and monsoon like rain falls which does homage to the far east. I am sitting fixing my mask in place when I notice this random masked man - no purchases in hand and minus trolley - wandering aimlessly around the car park. I decide to sit and watch as he looked highly suspicious. Eventually I realise the problem - he has forgotten where he has parked his car! When finally he spots it - 2 cars up from me - he climbs in and drives away. I had to laugh. Mind you I have done it myself and I still come out of 'sco looking for a white car when my new one is a metallic grey. Eventually my brain may process this information. Watch this space!
The bottom half of my garden is now under water!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hello all, not had chance to read back been so busy these last few days, work is crazy especially as all of a sudden we have people off because family members have tested positive for COVID. Never a good time but especially difficult now.
Songbird hope you feel better tomorrow we all have those days sometimes so be good to yourself and wait for better times.
LB I sympathise, fiancé’s van is in for a minor repair and courtesy car is a small black one, I could spend hours looking for it in even an almost empty car park.
Hazel, sorry you're not having the best of days. Take care of yourself, hope you get a good night's sleep and feel more yourself tomorrow. Best wishes and hugs. Good to see you Debs.
Good evening all. Just pop in to say hello and apologize for absence. We have a lot of work because our education ministry has a very strange sense for humor. I was at cottage this afternoon and now have biscuits in the oven. Didn't start to decorate yet, but today I sent the last package and card. I deserve a cup of tea now.
Will be visiting the forum less often now I'm back in the world of work.
I ALWAYS shop around at insurance renewal time. Those lovely insurance companies very kindly make it all too easy to let it roll over for another year but I strongly suspect that they're actually relying on inertia to boost their massive profits.
I paid £202 for my car insurance last year and got a renewal price of £214 a couple of weeks ago. Ten minutes on price comparison websites and I got it for £199. Some might not feel £15 is worth the effort but better in my pocket. Especially when it was from the same flaming company that I was with anyway
