good morning all! Got a busy Christmassy day planned cards to write and presents to wrap. I am going to make some little scented candles to go with my Christmas cards for the neighbours. I don’t usually bother but most of them are elderly and have not had a good year so hoping a little gift will make them smile. Hope you all have a happy Saturday
  • Yes I have Chive, it's one of those ones you heat in the microwave. Will use it soon once I'm dressed 🤭 having a very lazy morning.
Debs, what a lovely thing to do, they will be delighted with your gifts.

Lily I hope the heat pad helps.  Debs I’m sure your elderly neighbours will appreciate your gift.  Hazel enjoy your walk.  Chive some wrapping for you while your son is fishing.  LB be careful doing your gutters.  It’s good it was a small job.  I’ve just brushed the carpet to pick up any cat hair.  I’m having a cup of tea which is very welcome.  Ante I hope all goes smoothly fitting your lights.

Afternoon all,  Odd that Lily, I woke up with a pain in the neck this morning too.  Mind you I wake up with him most mornings.  Hope your pain disappears soon.  I'm keeping mine.
Off to Secondborn's soon to look after Jonah and Gabriel.  Secondborn is going to a memorial service for her ex husband.
    Have a good day everyone.

Afties all. Got all my jobs for today finished and then Had a really nice surprise. My sister called round to see me. She stood on the doorstep and we had a nice natter. She had been to see her Grandson participating in an equestrian event (think Thelwell cartoons) at the centre round the corner from me. It was lovely having a catch up - albeit short. She is in the middle of having her house ground floor opened up into a dining kitchen area. I saw the pictures and it looks wonderful.
Chive, I hope that you managed to get your present wrapping done; you too Debs and what a very sweet thing to do for your neighbours. I bet they will love their candles. As long as they aren't like me! Hazel, I love the latest story of the naughty Elf. I had a WhatsApp message from my cousin today. He did go home (his home) last Wednesday and in a few days, he and his ex wife are going to her home near Sheffield, where he will continue his recuperation. All is going well.
Rosie, I am so used to cleaning out my gutters that I don't worry about doing them. I should point out the these gutters are not at the top of the house but are within easy reach of my big ladders. If I had gutters any higher, then I would think twice about cleaning them out myself.
