Good morning Ruby and Ante. I have to say that the weather is 'normal' here i.e. windy (very) and rainy. A bit of a change for you Ante with the online teaching again. At least you will be at home to receive your deliveries.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
It's grim outside this morning. Still dark. Looks like the next sunrise will be in March
Fortunately, I've got the final payroll of 2020 to keep me inside and occupied. As a bonus, yesterday I was told that my deadline is tomorrow rather than Friday
Morning Biglad and SGL. You mentioned 'payroll' Biglad, a word my accountant brother has been known to mention now and again, so is that the sort of work that you do? Bit rough to hear you have one less day to complete things - no run today then?

Hi folks, a horrible grey and wet day here. Have an appointment so have to go out for a while this morning and then I'm in for the day. Might do some wrapping this afternoon. Stay safe everyone.
Its was dry this morning and now it's colder and raining 😫 Neck still hurts a bit, but not as much as it did. Hoping it will be ok tomorrow...... having my hair cut. I was wondering where Topbird was too. Hope you're well.
Hazel I’m glad your stomach is settling down, it’s good the bottled water is helping. Lily I hope your neck improves soon. Biglad I hope things ease off by Friday. I rang my sister and she’s happy with her gifts and singing Happy Birthday to her. It was good to talk. Alfie’s relaxing on the sofa and I’m watching the quiz Impossible with Rick Edwards.
Its horrible here too Yvie. I walked up to the post box during a brief dry spell but the wind was gale force so I was really chilled when I got home. Hope you wrapped up well when you went out.
Ooops forgot to post this!

During today’s COBRA briefing, the PM was saying that well have a normal Christmas next hear. I think he is a little hasty and we would hope it possible though. We will see how the vaccine pans out whether Pfizer from biontech or yet to be released the Oxford Astra Zeneca and other competitors. Talking of lockdowns enquiries were made when the majority have been vaccinated. However we will need to keep up the social distancing as we cannot guarantee immunity although the chief medical officer believes that losses will be reduced. We are no where near releasing the lockdowns. The relaxed rules over Christmas are questionable, although we will all miss contact as it was. The cmo suggesting thoughts should be of ways you can reduce the risk. No surprises there.
I've been and put my bin out and it is absolutely freezing outside so all you who had a warmer day, you were the lucky ones. I've rung Jack who had his vaccine shot today - he was in the middle of his tea so I'll call him later on. Briefly he said that they had to wait ages and there were thousands there! I suspect that is a bit of exaggeration but I'll get all the information when I call him again.

Seems warmer here too LB. But looks like it's been raining during the night.
Have a lovely day everyone
See you later
