Morning Ruby and Biglad. Ruby that is such a wonderful picture of Casper. Isn't it delightful how cats love cardboard boxes? He's a cutie. Here you go Biglad:

Hazel your garden sounds very colourful. Rubee a lovely picture of Casper having a rip roaring time. Biglad enjoy your run. It’s lovely and sunny here. You wouldn’t think it was December. LB a lovely message to start the day. I’ve finished wrapping presents now.
Hello everybody and thank you for thinking of me. Just seem to have been busy with lots of stuff these last few weeks.
2 weeks ago we fitted in a few days in Yorkshire with MIL so she wasn't on her own on what would have been FIL's 90th birthday. That resulted in us getting embroiled in some complicated paperwork to do with FIL's estate. Still not sorted but we'll get there.
We've also collected OH's new toy / vehicle. It's a camping car and will be perfect for him to have a couple of nights away for photography and racing and for us to take to the beach for the day - somewhere to get changed and make a cup of tea. Still small enough to be his daily car. Unfortunately it had to go back to the garage for new fuel injectors - rather annoying when it has less than 300 miles on the clock!
Had a brief meet up with my brother & SIL last week to exchange presents. Seems my niece is coming over from Canada for Christmas. She'll be doing tests and isolating both here and in Canada when she goes back. Absolutely crazy for a few days of celebrating.
Yesterday we met up with some friends at a NT property. Had a walk and then sat in our own camping cars with the adjacent sides open while we ate lunch and put the world to rights. It was a nice day.
Have had a quick skim read over pages of posts. You've all been busy with seasonal stuff haven't you? Sorry to read that some of you have had Covid in the family. They've shut the office at BIL's work due to an outbreak so nobody from that family is visiting MIL until they get the all clear.
Debs - hugs for you at this difficult time. The photo album for your sister is a lovely idea - I did a similar thing for my brother.
Chive - used to love the last few days of school at Christmas - lots of fun and games.
@Songbird-1 - lovely stories of the naughty elf. We had Christmas Clowns when we were small. They also 'magically' appeared and disappeared around the house - on a wardrobe, a high shelf etc etc. Kept us entranced for years! Best thing about them was their hollow tummies which were filled with Smarties on Christmas Eve.
LB - enjoy looking after the cats. Loved the pics of your teeny tiny clothes on a washing line.
Hope all those with poorly bits start to feel better soon and everyone else is keeping entertained. I have been asked to make blackout curtains and cushions for the new toy so that's my project for the next few days. Should be around a bit more now we seem to have got a mass of jobs out of the way...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Topbird hello. You’ve been very busy. Your trip to see mil will have been a real tonic and comfort to her. It’s better to be safe for the rest of the family. Have a good day. The camping car sounds great.

Afternoon everyone, I've managed to get back on here at last. Had my hair cut this morning, which has aggravated my neck again. So sitting in the sofa with a heat thingy round my neck. Not read back properly, but will in a mo, but good to see Topbird is ok. Sweet pic of your grandson Yvie. Will have a go at the Quiz too, Thank you LB

Yvie, what a little sweetie! Yes, another box-er enjoying the delights of a container - which could be anything from a racing car to a train. Hazel, it sounds like you have some lovely flowering plants still blooming in your garden.
Hello there T'Bird. Good to see you. You and your OH have been busy bees recently and another one with a new toy. It will be nice to personalise it with the curtains and cushions too. I haven't done any sewing for a while now. I think I need to get galvanised into action. Does anyone else find that, because of the present situation, it is extremely difficult to find motivation to do anything?
