No snow in these parts except in exceptional years so Luçon does strawmen instead of snowmen to decorate the town centre. This is just outside the cathedral.

We arent mixing our families this year, so just got out the small fibre optic tree, got the fairy lights outside, and 3 light up twig trees in the porch.
Hi JoeX. The idea for the branch came from something similar in a friend’s house. Hers is a rather grand Georgian townhouse, very artfully decorated and her branch had only about six decorations, all exquisite glass.
We went, as ever, for over-exuberance.
Our friend’s attitude to Christmas decorations also extended to Christmas cards. Only fine art cards from the RCA, the National Gallery etc got to go on the mantelpiece. The rest were put in a wicker basket by the front door.
Our cards this year are from the Fitzwilliam. It’ll be interesting to see if they make the cut. They’d better!
Whoah Tack that is indeed a splendid specimen, have enjoyed walking the dogs in the evening seeing the incredibly different decorations folk have put up.
