Your not wrong! @fidgetbones but honestly the world is so depressing I find I'm happier if I stick to things set in the past or audiobooks. Don't watch anything on TV on a regular basis, can't stand talent shows, reality... huh! shows, celebrity shows, dancing, baking talent in the jungle or on ice.... none of it thank you, so yup... I'll take another dose of fork 'andles please! 🤣
I used to love Morecambe and Wise and had quite a soft spot for the Two Ronnies. Then you watch it again on these Look Back to the 70s style programmes and, oh dear, there was so much rank material in those shows between occasional high spots. I guess I was just easily pleased.
@strelitzia32 - The window displays are mostly just paper, tissue and card. I believe there may have been some sticky backed plastic involved in some. The Nutcracker picture - I don't don't know how it was made and would love to ask the householder.
The advent window thing is not something I have encountered before, although areas all over the UK seem to be doing it this year and I do hope it will stay as a tradition. It's certainly given our area a huge creative boost. I won't add a link, but some neighbourhood windows have been featured in the Daily Mail.
I think the advent windows may have been inspired by the Window Wanderland project. We were plotting locally to perhaps do this in Feb, but I guess it became a Christmas project instead - organically emerging, and all the better for it.
Many thanks to the many forum members who have advised on the neighbourhood growing projects and gnarly questions that have come up this year for our groups. All the help and support has allowed our groups to blossom, not just in growing veg, but growing community too.

@Fire those windows are stunning. How are they made, is it painted or paper? Not seen anything like that. Impressive.
