We've had salmon with a glass of pink fizz to match. OH has gone to bed to read his book, I will join him soon, we are an hour later in France. It's actually quite a relief to have no pressure to stay up late. 8pm curfew here.
@tuikowhai34, OH was 53, just 2 years younger than yours, you must have been a young widow too. I'm glad you, too, have met someone.

Hello everyone. We've been cleaning all day, not wanting to take old muck into the new year. Just need to get clean myself now then we're having roast lamb (Italian style) and bread and butter pudding with brioche and marmalade for dinner. Salmon jobby for dinner tomorrow. Glad yours worked @Lizzie27
That is a magnificent looking train set @Busy-Lizzie. I asked for one for many years for Xmas along with Meccano but kept getting dolls and Airfix houses to make...... Far too girly. You can help yourself to mine and OH's air miles for a while longer yet. We've no plans to go anywhere we can't drive with the dogs for the next couple of years and always drive to the UK tho we haven't been there for 4 years. The vaccine will make travel back and forth easier for you won't it?
The chooks are on fine form. 6 more eggs today and lots of chat so I've taken some more eggs round to the neighbours.
Have a lovely evening everyone and try and remember that while 2020 has been really hard for many of us, the roll out of the vaccines will make 2021 easier in terms of health worries and who we can and can't see and hug again and that has to be good.

We’ve been watching an old Columbo whilst nibbling and sipping goodies. Supper was a lovely creamy fish pie washed down with Adnams Ghostship ... very good. Now we’re recording Jools and heading for bed 🥱
Wishing everyone here a peaceful and healthy 2021 ... thanks for your friendship and support over the past 12 months ... Happy New Year everyone! 🍾 🥳 🍷 🥂 🍻
I’ll start a new thread in the morning ... night night all, sweet dreams 🛌 😴 🐑

The salmon meals sound delicious. We had curry and now we are having some Gin & Tonic ‘flavour’ After Eight Mints 😅
As this year draws to an end, I just want to say thank you for your company and support this year.
Cheers to all, and may we look forward to better times ahead.
