Hello everyone. We are having a slow start here today. 😃 nothing planned which suit me.

Hubby discovered a pkt pork cracklings in Coles and gave me a small bowl to munch on. Very tasty and it was only about three hours later that I noticed my joints aching.  Checked the pkt label and yes, sure enough, 621 (msg) used as flavouring.  Spent the rest of the evening grumbling about the unmarried parents of the producers of the product and after enduring a very uncomfortable time, weakened and took a Panadol and Telfast. Didn’t get to sleep for ages. 😡  I’d like to write a letter to them, but it wouldn’t make any difference.

Anyway, I’m flopping on the lounge this morning.

    Happy New Year everyone.

Well, that was interesting. While flopping, I went to sleep and have just woken (2.30 pm). The day is almost gone and I’ve done nothing. 🤭

G’day Pat and good morning U.K. people.
I can see it’s white with frost out there this morning. I’ll be de-icing my car before I set off today.

Stay safe all and let’s wave goodbye to 2020 later.

Good morning all 😊 and hello @Pat E 👋 hope the aches have gone now 🤗

There’s a beautiful full moon and everything is white and sparkling with frost.
The coffeemaker is still sound asleep 😕

Hello Aunty Rach and Dove. My aches have eased a bit, but I’m lacking in energy.😏

I hope you all have a good day.

Morning, with my winter cheerup stuff, I had forgotten, able lamps with warmer bulbs.  I also have a electric fire, the only one of it's kind with Andronic" technology.  I really wanted a log burner, we don't have a fireplace, so the cost of installing a log burner was out of reach, plus needing, a large flu going through the roof, facing the road and needing the added expense of planning permission. The fire can be plumbed in to a wet central heating system, has a log effect, a good one complete with opening door, and pipework which goes to the wall, like a real chimney, plus 2 heat controls for electric fan, which is not visible the cheaper models, which are just electric have a fan visible underneath which spoils the effect.  All those wanting electric cars, I wonder how many would be willing to forgo their wood burners.  I discovered recently how toxic they actually are, giving out particulates outside, and inside the room when the door opens, to replenish logs..When we enquired at the local showroom installer, I was shown a pack of log and told the burner (a very small one) would use that pack in a day.

    Hi all

I have no idea whether it is the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning, but I am sure next year must be better.
Thanks for all the friendship and support.

  • Hi @punkdoc 👋 at the very least it must be the end of the beginning, which must be a good thing ... the scientists and doctors are learning more ... what we have to do is learn to take notice of them, even with the vaccine ... this is a very steep learning curve for all of us and must change the way we behave, perhaps for a generation.
I am so thankful to all the scientists, medics, nurses, care staff, key workers and everyone who have worked to the point of exhaustion to keep us as safe and well as they can,  and keep the world ticking over as best it can ... and you are amongst those heroes ... thank you 🙏 🤗
