    Evening folks.

Had my day off today. Went for a walk and met my sister so we had a natter outside, with masks on and distanced, which was lovely but freezing!

The forecast for sleet on Friday has been replaced by cold rain. So no massive improvement there!

Keep warm (Pat excluded) and safe everyone.
    Hug for Wonky.

  • Good morning all 😊
Are you around @Pat E ? I see there’s hailstorms forecast for parts of  NSW ... are they heading your way?

Hi Dove. No I think they’re around Sydney/Newcastle. No clouds here 😁. I keep thinking about Flatters. It doesn’t seem long since she tamed him and got him into the shed.  It’s always sad to lose pets. You can’t help getting close to them.

We went for another drive out the back for something to do and noticed some native Hyacinth Orchids starting to flower.

I’m always amazed that they just appear in rough country without any noticeable help, especially rain.
    Cheered me up a bit.

  • Those are so pretty @Pat E ... I’m glad the storms aren’t heading for you ... they sound pretty nasty ⛈

Yes, poor old Flatters ... I s’pose that having been more or less wild he’s had all sorts of fights, injuries and infections to weaken him. But he’s had a lovely few years with Wonky 😊

  • Good morning. Cold, wet and miserable here.
I wanted to ask if I could join your 27 club now, as it was my 60th birthday last Friday. I don't know why but I feel quite depressed by it all. Maybe it is just the times we are in at the moment, but there again I am very lucky to live where I do.
I hope you all have a good day.🙂

Morning Fritillary and others who appear.
I don’t know about about the 27 club, but Ive seen it mentioned on the Forum often. Since I turned 80 this year, I might not be eligible. 🤭

  • Of course @Fritillary and @Pat E ... you’ve both been 27 for ages just like the rest of us ... it was decided ages ago that as 27 is old enough to be grown up but not old enough to be sensible, that’s what we will remain ... ad infinitum... we’re all 27 ... even @WonkyWomble, and she’s my daughter 🤣
The important thing to remember however is that being stuck at 27 doesn’t mean that we go without birthday celebrations ... so Happy Birthday for last week @Fritillary 🥂 🎂 🎁 🎉 😃

  • Oh @Pat E they look marvellous ... we love broad beans 😋 they’d go very nicely with tonight’s lamb casserole 👍
