We’ve watched another three episodes of Death in Paradise, and now in bed. Ā

I’m not sure what to think of that bit about kangaroos though. My experience is that if I take too much interest in them, they bound away. They like to observe from a distance. They do like to watch me me hanging clothes on the line. Ā I suspect the study that your lot were on about was Roos in zoos etc.Ā

im going to sleep. Have to get up early for the trip to Canberra.

    night all.Ā

  • Hello all,

Quick pop in over a toasted cheese sandwich and a mince pie - it was a bit untidy looking, not good enough to sell ... ;)

Lovely sunny day here, perfect for a bot of gardening but like @Biglad, other more pressing responsibilities.Ā  :(

Everyone seems to feeling a bit more positive from the little I have managed to read back, all good.Ā

Found this little puzzle too, I've printed it off for Charlie to do over Christmas, thought you might like a go - it is fairly easy but good bit of fun.Ā

Must go though, another Chocolate Log to do and rather a lot of Cupcakes to decorate.Ā
    Hugs to all.Ā  :)

Just been for my first haircut since March. My hair hadn't been that long for over 40 years and it was odd seeing it come off in big (grey) hanks. Now that I have lost a lot of insulation the temperature is bound to drop and we might get a white Xmas!

Enjoying the puzzleĀ @D0rdogne_Damsel. I think I have them all apart from the ā€˜cancelled’ one...???

I have loads of quiz questions and word games written for my work and family so I will start sharing a few next week.Ā

  • Hooray!Ā  Got enough of a window in the weather to get the raspberries planted.Ā  Nice healthy canes with lots of root, so I hope they do well.

We have fortnightly deliveries from Supervalu, one of the few supermarkets outside of Dublin which do grocery delivery.Ā  I always book the cheapest slot, between 4 and 6pm, because we're always in at the moment, but they've never delivered during that 2-hour period.Ā  The first couple of times they rang to make sure it would be ok to come whenever they were in the area, but now they just turn up... once they came very early in the morning, while I was still in the shower; another time both of us were at the doctor's having our flu jab, and I had to rush home to put the frozen food away (they'd left it on the doorstep, then rang to tell me what they'd done).Ā  Today I was about to serve lunch when they arrived.Ā  Makes life more exciting, I suppose...

Well done @Liriodendron.Ā  It is cold, dull and drismal here so staying tucked up indoors.Ā  Ā Again.Ā  We had amber warnings this morning for exceptional swells with high, onshoreĀ  winds combined with high tides but the wind has dropped now.

No deliveries of groceries here so usual weekly raid for me tomorrow but the pm and Friday look OK enough for me to get my remaining bulbs in.Ā  Ā I took 10 eggs to our neighbours yesterday and he's offered to fill his trailer with ripe horse poo and bring it over when he has a free day.Ā  That'll be good for my new dahlia bed and the new soft fruits bed.

Who said our evenings were getting longer?Ā  It seems to be getting dark indecently early again so I need to go and see my chooks.

Hugs to all who need one.Ā  Have fun, all who can.

Hello everyone, been very wet and dark all day so not at all nice, but Idid manage to dash out and cut a couple of rose blooms for the house before they got trashed by the rain. I also cleaned the cooker thoroughly which doesn't happen very often, it's one of those self cleaning ones you put on a very High temperature for an hour. OH kindly scraped all the racks for me, a job I hate. Amazon delivered a new dash cam, presieĀ  from son, they had a rear end shunt a couple of weeks ago, so have just bought some for their cars. OH now has to work out how to fix it!

    Evening.

Just had my vaccine!!! There were spare slots this evening and they trying to do as many NHS as possible over the weekend too. I will report back on the sore arm or other symptoms (all normal to have some immune response of feeling under the weather).Ā
I hope that all of you who are entitled to one, have it as soon as it can be done too.Ā
