Hello everyone, yes, happy birthdays, happy meetings and happy reunions are in order.

Pouring with rain and windy since early this morning so daughter has had a foul journey down the M5. Just phoned to say she got home safely and we're both happy as she has just seen a nice new place to rent, which is a huge relief. Fingers crossed it all goes through okay and she can move in January. I can relax a bit now.

Had my haircut in town this morning, OH drove me in and everyone, bar a couple of unspatially aware idiots, were being very careful. I won't be going into town again for a while in any event.

You might be cross with R M @punkdoc and others, but that doesn't excuse inflammatory language in my book.

  • Most of JRM's c.£150m wealth is said to be stashed away in the Cayman Islands, meaning he is not paying tax on it - and therefore doing absolutely nothing himself to relieve the deprivation of British children.  To criticise others for doing what he could and should be doing himself (after all, who can spend £150m on themselves alone?) is breathtakingly arrogant and utterly shameful.

  • Hello all , busy day today doing various indoor admin things , hope all are well and the socially distanced meet-ups went smoothly @Dovefromabove and @WonkyWomble and everyone else that was doing so. TCL mailed to say my roses being sent today or Monday -- hoping this does not mean they get stuck in christmas post till the New Year.

Evening. It’s a wet and windy night here.

Why is no DIY event ever simple? 😅

Hope the distanced visits were enjoyable and up-coming Birthdays can have some sort of celebration.

    Take care all.

    Evening all,

Got the 'extra' payroll done in time so everyone will get paid bang up to date before Christmas instead of having to wait until 15th Jan. Don't expect (nor will I get!) any thanks for this but it means that I should get zero moaning phone calls or e-mails during the fortnight off. Blissful silence :)

Might even get into the garden if there is any dry weather on the way in the next two weeks :D:D:D

My arm is much better thank you (although prob couldn’t lie on it) but I am only just starting to feel better - hours 12-36 post vaccine were a bit rough - headache/hangover feeling. Paracetamol helped. Small price to pay though. There is a chance that my side effects were a bit worse as already have/had antibodies, but only anecdotal on that.
