Well it really is sunshine and showers here today. I gave in & decided to tackle the dripping bathroom tap. After an hour long fight I got the hot tap valve out & the spout off. Then off to the plumbing shop & in spite of taking all the parts with me he sold me the wrong one ( they come in pairs the cold fitted but not the hot) . Back to the shop, got the right bits. So valves ok but it still leaks from the base of the spout as they didn't have the right O rings. Ah well it's a bit better, will have to try for the O rings another time.
I am chuffed ... I've found the perfect buttons for the jacket I've knitted for myself ... it's a felted tweed merino, alpaca and viscose yarn in a soft plummy sort of colour ... these will be perfect https://www.bedecked.co.uk/lily-coconut-button/product

Thanks folks, the "bottom" end is now OK (dog!!) she was fine on the beach, running around as usual, but had chucked up in her crate on the journey home, just bile. I loved the joke about the arseoles, and the virus, I posted it, on FB along with saying about Lottie moss and all the other idiots, a friend of over 30 years had a go at me, saying I wasn't surprised London was in tier 3, she said thanks for that she already knew and didn't need ME making her more anxious!!She doesn't like being curtailed on her normal daily stuff, wearing a mask, not being allowed to go out for meals and meet her relatives, she's already had a sulk about Christmas.
Quiet day, except that it usually is nowadays. Done some housework and made beds for daughter and family who are coming on Friday to pick up their furniture.
We are now out of lockdown but there is a curfew from 8pm and no restaurants open, other things that aren't allowed, such as cinemas, will be reviewed in January. At least I don't have to print out and fill in a form when I want to empty the bins.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Thanks for all your positive support everyone. I slept well, although the jaw is still sore to touch. (Only to be expected). She had to give me the injection three times since the first two didn’t work. 😳 Depending on what the X-ray shows, the tooth might have to come out. Not surprising since it’s been there for nearly 80 years.
Good news though. We’ve got rain. 3 mm overnight and still dripping. 👏👏 Typically, we have to drive to Canberra tomorrow for Hubby to visit his Ophthalmologist and they are predicting very heavy rain. Sounds like a nice drive. We are also meeting our sun and daughter while there. 😃

Hope you feel better soon. Jacket sounds lovely Dove.
Just doing a few jobs and finishing writing my Christmas quiz. For a certified Humgbug, I have excelled myself here 😂
I hope you are all doing ok - hoping any pains, DIY, pets, teeth and work not too bothersome.
