    Your meal sound delicious @Obelixx.

    Brisket here - smells delicious...

We've just had roast lamb as usual but I did make a gooseberry and apple crumble to follow by special request, including custard. Yummy.

  • Roast duck here, delicious. Lots of fresh veg.

Been in the garden most of the day whilst Xmas Puddings streamed away.

Whilst researching special dietary recipes for some customers came across an alcohol free recipe for Pudding that used coca cola instead..... interesting concept. I've done a ham in coca cola once and it was nice.

Had a bonfire too. As did lots of local people I noticed as I drove into town earlier, burning leaves I think. Macron's obviously not had much of an effect here yet then @Busy-Lizzie, I don't suppose you'll be arrested just yet. 😊

Anyway off to bed now, good night all.

  • Just snuggling down with my book ... the bedroom blinds are half open and the beautiful big yellow ‘first quarter’ moon is shining in ... night night all ... sleep tight 😴

Rain!  There was 3.5mm in the rain gauge this morning (not that I heard it overnight). 🙄
And, now we are getting more light rain. Hoorah.  The whole valley could do with it.

  • Morning @Pat E and I'm sure @Dovefromabove is not far behind with the ☕. 😁

Gardening for me today, and a bit of i°°°°°g whilst I wait for the chill to go off. I just want to get all the dead and straggly stuff cut back and try and get some control over this big garden here. The two flowerbeds I emptied a few weeks ago now have a lovely green hue across them as the new grass seed has taken. I was lucky we had a few warm sunny days. It's going to make life so much easier to manage. The flowers I moved into the beds I'm keeping seem to have settled ok, from what I can see anyway.

I hope you're all ok. Happy to see @punkdoc popping in more often, glad you're feeling perkier.

I hope @Hostafan1 is also ok, popping in at least if not up to posting.

    Catch you all later. 😁

I used to love mince pies. My Nan made them every year for me, my parents and her. Until she decided to go metric (only been using Imperial for a decade or so). We got about 350 mince pies instead of the usual 40. All our neighbours got mince pie gift parcels, but I still ended up eating about a hundred. I went right off them for a very long time.

How she didn't notice while baking is one of life's great mysteries.
  • I have always been partial to a Mince pie @seacrows, however, after the hundreds I've got on order this year I may well be feeling a bit like you did after your Nan's error.  ;)
