Watched it this evening and, have to say, laughed in horror at her performance.  Wooden doesn't begin to describe it.   I expect Anton is mightily relieved.

Some lovely performances form others tho and congrats to all of those but "get a grip" for the costume team who selected that ghastly yellow for the salsa and Nul Points for the lighting team who thought their fancy tricks were more important than showing the dancers clearly.

  • I do feel so sorry for Anton. The right one definitely went tonight.....i was secretly hoping it would be her last week 😉 Hopefully one day he'll get a good partner.

Jeanette is so over the top, she's really annoying 😣😣

Anton has had good partners, starting with Leslie Garrett in the first series when he came 3rd and he made it to the finals with Katie Derham and Emma Barton.  He's had hi share of duffers like this one and Susannah Constantine but has lasted remarkably well with others but they are clearly forgettable.

There were some very clever choreographies this week and some great performances but Karen and Chelsea chappy are not among them.   Hope they go next week.

This week was certainly interesting with some excellent performances and clever choreographies.  However, I was underwhelmed by Nicola's performance (and the poor fit of her costume) and found her to be very heavy about the feet and knees which is not good in a jive and not what I'd expect from a boxer.

I really didn't like the Star Wars Paso - just wrong - but I liked Jason's attitude and thought he tried hard and did a lot better 2nd time around.

Ranvir was amazing.  Maisie needs to learn about her feet.  Caroline needs to find some edge.  She's being just a bit bland and restrained at the mo.

I am no expert, but l thought whoever decided that the Star Wars theme was suitable for a paso was way off beam. It's a shame that Jason has gone, l thought he had the ability to go further.
The problem with "Movie Week" is that the theme takes precedence over the dancing. Jeanette and Harvey (or HRVY) as gnomes and Diane and Max as Marge and Homer Simpson just didn't seem right. It was "Here's the movie music, these are the characters,  this is the dance. You sort it out".
I thought they did well, all things considered.
Ranvir and Gio and Amy and JJ l liked. Also Bill and Oti, although l could have done without the guitar playing in the middle of that.
Having said all that, I'm so glad that they managed to get Strictly on air this year, they've done so well to do it.

We do - for the critique on choreographies and techniques but if it's just me I FF the stupid and gossipy bits which is quite a lot these days..

I do watch "It takes two", but l record it so l can fast forward through things like Ian Waite and his wand on a Wednesday. There is a lot of shrieking at the start of the week when Zoe Ball is presenting,  l always get the impression that she has a list of questions and she is going to ask them come what may, even if it means cutting off the answers. I think Rylan is more prepared to go with the flow.

Such a shame about Jason and the Star Wars theme, that was never going to be a good Paso,it felt as though he was stitched up.
I agree with you @Obelixx about Caroline, shes coming across as very restrained and a little frumpy.
I want to see Nichola and Katyas' Rumba if they get that far.
Im not watching "It takes two" Zoe Ball and her breathless questions I can manage without.
