  • Bit late commenting, but the right one went out of the two couples. Im not keen on Jamie,he would be better if he kept his mouth shut,I rather liked the Tango though, the music seems to be more in keeping with the dances now. (Star Wars Paso)
Ranvir has a beautiful elegant frame,I wonder how she'll do in the Jive?
I think the Scots are all behind JJ,he looked great in his kilt!

We have disagreed before @Dovefromabove about vocabulary.  I find "oik" descriptive and, in this case, apt and not at all offensive.

Like many SCD fans who also dance themselves, I watch ITT every day because I like the critiques of choreography from the Saturday before and tips in training for the next week.   Unfortunately, there is also a lot of dross with gossip and set pieces to camera which I find surplus to requirement and often unedifying.

Yes @Valley Gardener it was a well choreographed tango with good music and he performed it well.   Ranvir is doing very well and is an elegant dancer tho I found the routine a little dull and safe on Saturday.  Let's hope her jive will be more lively.

Interesting voting this weekend but the right competitors in the dance off and, on balance, the right one has gone given the need to master 2 dances this next week.   However, I really disliked the music choice and the dance and the performance of the survivor.

JJ a nice competitor but reached his limit

    Good show tonight
  • I didn't like Jamie's jive either and really wished he'd gone tonight.

I still don't have a favourite to win this year.
Although, do love it that Bill is still in.
I have a feeling HRVY will win

I noticed that Shirley pointed out that both couples made mistakes in the dance off. I certainly spotted Jamie's.
I think it was JJ's time to leave. Amy was choreographing to his strengths,  but l think he would have really struggled with 2 dances next week. A lovely speech at the end from both of them with genuine sincerity.
  • @AnniD I agree, Jamie made a few mistakes. And I too think JJ would probably have struggled with 2 dances this week.

But hopefully Jamie goes next week.

There I was being discreet in case any fans hadn't yet seen the results but, now we're mentioning names, I haven't liked Jamie's personality and attitude from the start and his first dance was dreadful but I briefly relented when he turned in a couple of good performances.  However, that jive was just ugly with insufficient retraction and lack of pointed feet.

Agree JJ has reached his limit but am really pleased he made it this far and I thought his Charleston was very attractive.

I am not looking forward to Bill doing a ballroom tang to metallica music but we'll have to wait and see as Oti is very clever with choreography.   I'd like to see Jeanette do well.

JJ has done phenomenally to get this far.  The injuries he suffered were horrific and still cause him much pain.  Liking or not liking a person's personality is not a basis for keeping them or kicking them out.

I think JJ has overcome a great deal of adversity and am pleased for him.

As for liking or not liking someone - of course it's a popularity contest as well as a dance competition.  How else do clowns like Anne Widdecombe and Ed Balls survive so long?   The GBP votes on personality and entertainment as well as performance which is why the production team indulges in all those dreadful set pieces before the Saturday performances.
