I think it's been many years since Strictly was solely about the dancing, if indeed it ever was. Christopher Parker in the first series reached the final, and l think he would probably admit he was not the greatest dancer .
It's best just to view it as an entertainment programme on a Saturday night, with various people learning and attempting to dance with varying  degrees of success.
Some of them we like and some we are less keen on for whatever reason.
The CGI drives me mad though. Still haven't got over the elephant. 😳

I don't like the CGI either @AnniD.  In fact for some years the lighting on this show has been all about how clever the lighting team can be and not about showing off the dancing.   Far too often it's so busy we can't make out what the feet are doing - on the rare occasions we get get shots of them or the whole body.

  • I agree, when they do this dizzying filming you rarely get a look at the feet.
The right one went, because of learning more dances next week.I really liked his Charleston.
I'm with you @Obelixx, not keen on Jamie he has too much to say for himself and his Jive this week wasnt good.
I still dont like the unisex costumes, perhaps the BBC cant afford the crystals on the dresses anymore?😉

I don't like the unisex outfits either.  The costumes aren't as pretty or sparkly as they used to be.
  • The only CGI I've liked was Audrey Two. I agree the outfits have been less glamorous,  but I suppose that's to be expected. I did miss the Halloween outfits/makeup.

I always think of it as a TV show with a bit of dancing 💃🏼🕺🏼 and eventually you get a winner that the Great British Public vote for
The CGI is just part of the show , so bit you like some you don’t 😉

Good morning , interesting show last night
I had a bet with a friend that Harvey & Maisie would be in the final from day one

No real favourites , however , would like Bill Bailey to be in the Final , he’s been the real surprise
  • Unfortunately Bill did struggle with his dance, but the public should save him.
I think Jamie and Ranvir will be in the dance off.
  • I haven't got a favourite this year, but I would like Bill to be in the final 3
    Hopefully Jamie will go tonight.
Loved Ranvir's dress, really pretty. She looked amazing.

    Dave Arch may have enjoyed Metallica,but l didn't .
"Shirley and Motsi are on their feet", someone should tell Tess it's not surprise any more. Craig on his feet on the other hand...
I do like his expression when the vote opens 😁.
I have a feeling Bill may be in trouble this week, and Ranvir's jive was a definite struggle for her. Bit distracted by Giovanni if l'm honest, maybe that was the plan 😊.
