I never watched Bagpuss. Not sure if I was the wrong age for that though.
I think it also depends how much tv you watched. I spent a lot of time outdoors in my free time, so maybe I only saw programmes during winter  :D

  • Hello all.  Taking a break from meadow making for a cuppa and some chocolate...

Happy birthday @Busy-Lizzie!  Hope you have a good lunch.

Bob Godfrey was a friend of my daughter's tutor when she took her MA in animation at Norwich school of art, and he was wonderfully encouraging when he came to visit & give a lecture to the students.  Henry's Cat is the favourite here.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Oh bugger - I definitely didn't like R&C :'( . I found one of the voices a bit harsh - I think I was a sensitive little chap  ;)

Too young? Too old? Who knows  :D

True @Fairygirl - if it was fine and light outside, I'd be out there with a ball of varying size.

Richard Briers did Roobarb and Custard. How could you not like his voice?
I'm beginning to worry about you @Biglad :D
The jerky cartooning was what used to bother me. A bit like pause on early video recorders....

  • Oooh @steveTu I've a feeling you may be heading for the outer realms of 27ness 🤣

@Liriodendron it's that Six Degrees of Separation thingy isn't it  :D

@steveTu it's very simple .... it was agreed many years ago that everyone here is 27 ... we decided that 27 is the ideal age ... old enough to be grown up but not so old that we had to be sensible ... we are all 27, Fairy is 27, Hosta is 27, Busy Lizzie is 27, Punkdoc is 27, Liri, YvieStevie, Dordogne Damsel ... everyone who posts here is 27 ... I am 27 and so is my daughter WonkyWomble ... isn't that right @Fairygirl?

    Right, got it!
It is odd how we see ourselves though eh? I never aged (mentally) beyond 14. Not sure what happened in that year, but I'm still that same gauche, shy kid. Always a good uncle as I could relate to the kids but never mature enough to have any of my own - until they came along (how did that happen?).
