Hi Everyone. Nice day again here, I got some more sorting and clearing in the garden.
I’ve been gradually clearing and raking Leaves and bark from around the big eucalyptus in front of the house. Then I barrow it over to a clear area so that Hubby can burn it. I’m running out of time because he won’t be allowed to do any burning after this month. 🙄
Aching back tonight though. (As usual). Never mind I’ll be lounging until 1 am watching La Tour. Yesterday they had rest day, so I feel a bit deprived.
Hello all. We have some cloud here at the moment which is a joy! The chimney sweep has been this morning so I have been busy disinfecting and steam cleaning everywhere he has been so hopefully no Covid residue around. Perhaps i am being overly cautious, I don't know. Why is it that when you are busy that neighbours want to come and chat?
Morning everybody. I feel a bit better today and slept better, with head propped up on two pillows but still feel very muzzy-headed and a bit dizzy. Have got last minute holiday washing on though and will stay out of the sunshine - which has completely turned my holiday packing list on its head. Not all sure what North Wales will be like, weather wise so will probably pack for all eventualities! A halo indeed Dove, wish I felt that energetic. Good to get together with siblings Yviestevie, remembering the good times makes it a bit easier. Your mum sounds much like my mum, she was always doing crazy things. Enjoy your day at college Chicky, we're hoping to find a nice quiet beach in Wales.
In the wake of Yvie's news yesterday, I forgot to comment on your post @Lizzie27. It did sound like dehydration. I often forget to drink enough when I'm walking, and it does give me a sore head, especially if it isn't hot, so you don't feel the same need for a drink. Hope you're better today. Ditto with @Dovefromabove 's son. Glad it turned out well. I've just read something that made me laugh out loud. It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Feel very annoyed with self. We went to the tip with rubbish from the pigeonnier in the trailer and boot and when we came home I realised I'd forgotten to empty the boot of the car. I'd done what was on the back seats but forgot to take the lid off the boot. It's a Mégane Estate so there was quite a lot of stuff, loads of pots and a rusty cast iron BBQ.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Finally mowed the back lawn - was still a bit squelchy Only got half way round with the strimmer before it ran out of line by spitting the last bit into my shin. Got a cut now to spoil my glorious all-over body tan Tried the 'other strimmer' (neither of us has any idea why we've got two!) but that isn't working. Decided not to put it back in the shed as it will just sit in there forever and never work. It's going on freecycle. We now have a rabbit hutch, netball post and a bike on their way off the property. You can almost get into the shed now
Emptied a veg patch of some stuff that hadn't really worked and was just caterpillar feed (mostly radish) so I can now prepare it to finally plant the blackberry plant I got a while back.
Cleaned up my mini greenhouse, put the cover back on (even more room in the shed) and fixed up some twine that should stop it falling forwards in wind again. Got a couple of half-empty bags of sand (even MORE room in the shed) to weigh it down.
Swept the patio, cut back some ivy growing over the back fence from a neighbour and painted the last concrete post (which had the ivy growing over it).
Off for a quick shower before a track sprint session. Followed by another shower!
Evening all, you all seem to have been really busy today. I love getting rid of junk it's so theraputic. I've been organising mums funeral. Most of it is being done electronically and over the phone due to Covid restrictions. Just have to go to the funeral directors and sign some paperwork. Had some bad news from my Neice, her son has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. He is having an op on Thursday. They have moved really quickly so we are all hoping he will be OK. He's only in his early 30's. Her sisters boy has been taken into hospital in Australia following an overdose. It's just one thing after another at the moment.
Evening all, @Yviestevie , what a tricky time for you, big hugs, stay strong. Lots and lots of good wishes going your way. 😘😘😘
@punkdoc I do hope your mum is treated with a bit more respect after you've shouted. It's so unfair, and I hate so much that we have to get sh***y to be treated properly, it's another level of stress we don't need. Hopefully all will be better now. So pleased your son got his belongings back @Dovefromabove , again not nice to have to resort to force/threats.
I met a dear, dear friend today, she is so kind and supportive, never judgemental, but she has got a bee in her bonnet that Covid19 doesn't exist and is just a form of control that governments have decided upon - I struggled so much not I argue with her..... She has two kids and has withdrawn them from school to keep them safe from "brainwashing" a very difficult dilemma for me - who knows, she may well be right, but I'm struggling with the hypothesis... New chef started today - he seems fabulous, we'll see... 🙏 My new plants however, definitely seem to have settled in. Smaller than I expected, but good roots and healthy looking..,. Got new bulbs coming too from Farmer Gracie, looking forward to spring. Gardening definitely epitomises the human fall back position of hope. 😁
Good night all, stay safe.

@D0rdogne_Damsel as someone else has said somewhere ... if Covid was all part of a Master Plan, don’t you think there’d be signs of someone, somewhere, having done some planning?
🙄 🤣 🤪🍷🍷🍷
Night night all ... hopefully tomorrow will bring a brighter day 😴
