  • Yviestevie, hugs from me, she sounds lovelly XXX, morning (and afties) to everyone.  Steve (Tu) you would get on well with us, Hubby "doing stuff" for very inconsiderate folk, I asked him why, he said he wasn't reducing himself to their level, offer of tea or coffee still stands, if you are interested, especially now your son is back at Uni.  What and where is he studying?

College for me today.  I’ve done my homework 😇.  Turns out I’m still a girly swot 40 years on ☺️

Had a lovely relaxing day at the beach yesterday ......definitely one of our best lockdown discoveries that beach 🏖.  Even finished my book 📖.

Just been out for an early morning pot water. It’s forecast to be scorching later, but it’s definitely a nippy start here 🥶.   I Guess that’s September for you.

Special hugs for those in need today 🤗

    Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're there.
Hope today is a bit easier @Yviestevie. x
Glad you had a nice day at the beach, girly swot @chicky. I like that. Maybe you should change your name to that  ;)
Dank, murky and dreich here. It's supposed to clear up though. I've optimistically put washing on...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Not sure why you felt the need to say 'Dank, murky and dreich' - isn't that part of the etymology of Scotland, so a given?
Beautiful down here (again) - 18 already... washing out yesterday and the circa 30 degrees was like putting it in a tumble dryer.

...out to water the 'stuff' tonight (again) as we've had so little rain - and I can't see much in the forecast for the next few days... Plant's are shrivelling and ground cracking...bald head peeling....

Fancy swapping? You won't have to bring any Damart with you......

No thanks @steveTu. I actually couldn't manage without rain. Couldn't live in that there desert in the south of England  ;)
When I said dank - it was actually pouring  :D

    Morning all.
You'd hate it here in Dordogne @Fairygirl. Sun is out, should be 30° later.

I'm about to have another go at clearing out the pigeonnier aka the garden shed before it gets too hot.

So far south (so, so far south that we're virtually heading north again) je parle Francais - au bord de la mare avec la plume de ma tante - aujourd'hui ce main soir. Je pense, dunc je suis...mais... je ne pense pas, dunc....

Reminds me of the old joke:
A man walks into a chippy...'Two pieces of code and two large chips please'....'Do you want vinegar on that?' asks the chippy. 'I think not' the man replies - and disappears.

I'd move further north of I could, but there's the problem of one daughter.
I do believe the rain has stopped. Do I live life on the edge and not wear the waterproof trousers, or do I throw caution to the winds....
I take it you meant 'cod' @steveTu, or are you in 'work mode'?  ;)

  • Can everyone see my halo 😇
The bedlinen has been changed and is in the wash, OHs work clothes that he forgot he’ll need tomorrow are washed and on the line, the sourdough is having it’s first rise, the bins have been emptied and bleached, potatoes for supper have been peeled, OH’s flask filled and he’s gone to work ... now all that must be done today is to finish a whimsical card for niece (has just moved into uni Halls prior to the start of her first term of her engineering degree) and finish sewing up OH’s new sweater ... oh and the timer had buzzed ... time to stretch and fold the dough (4 times at half hour intervals ... then it’ll rest until 5 when it’ll be shaped and go into the oven at 6).
It’s all go here today ...
