@Yviestevie   Sincere condolences to you on the loss of your Mum.  A part of our childhood leaves us when a parent dies.  I am astounded that you cannot go and tidy out her room yourself.  Thinking of you and sending you much comfort.

Oh @Yviestevie , I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your Mum and that you were not able to go and see her recently. Thinking of you and your family.

I'm so sorry you've lost your mother @Yviestevie and at such a difficult time. Although she had a long life it's always hard when you lose a parent. xx

There has been a lot of sadness here recently, health problems etc. I have come with a bother that is trivial compared with bad health but it is still a bother to many British people who live abroad thanks to b****y Brexit.

I have been receiving emails from Barclaycard which I thought were scams so I deleted them. They said that you will no longer be able to own a Barclaycard if you live abroad and you would have to change your resident address to one in the UK. I use my Barclaycard a lot when I'm in Norfolk and I have UK pensions. Today I received a letter by post from BC to say that I haven't responded to their letter in March, didn't receive it, was in Norfolk anyway, don't know if the housesitter didn't send it to me, and their emails. It wasn't a scam. At least I have an English address but many don't.

Thank you all for your kind messages.  Have been to Firstborns.  Secondborn joined us and we sat in the garden talking about happier times with mum. She was always doing crazy things when we were young, like the time she put the hot water bottle in the pantry and the sauce bottle in my bed.  Being all together made things much better.

So very sad for you @Yviestevie.  But so glad you and your girls have been able to get together and remember some of the smiles.  Big hugs for you all.
