Oh my goodness. Its too hot to think straight, even Lily is flat out. We have more thunderstorms forecast for tonight as well. Have you had a lovely day with your small visitors SGL? Hope that the headache subsided enough for you to enjoy your shopping Hazel. Chive, respect to you. That obelisk is beautiful and your sis will love it I'm sure. The butterflies are really super too. Debs, it feels so good when your hair gets cut! Hope the family issues are not too worrying for your fiancé.

I’m afraid I was awake all last night so it threw me out for the day but had a sleep later this morning.  Chive lovely purchases.  LB I’ll look forward to rain here, maybe Thursday, hopefully.  Hazel I hope the headache subsided and you had a good trip out.  Yvie hope you had a good catch up with mum.

Evening all. Yvie, I don't think you are on your own doing 'not very much' - apart from the shoppers. It has gone very ominous here so I reckon thunder could be on its way. I was hoping to see the Perseids meteor shower tonight. I guess there might still be time. I think I had better check and close my windows over - just in case I have rain again. I am signing out for tonight as Line of Duty is calling. See you all tomorrow. Quiz day!
Perseid Meteor Shower will peak over UK on August 11 and 12

Thunder and lightning with torrential rain and hail for about 30 minutes here. Very impressive. Settled down to just rain now hope it lasts all night.

I was outside checking the sky and after one small meteor a huge turquoise one! WOW! Not steady enough on my feet to stay out so will set up for the next night; chair etc. We have a "dark sky" area here . Very dark out. What beauty. I had no idea they make a noise.

    Good morning all!

Chive, beautiful obelisk, your sister will be very pleased. Those blue butterflies are charming.

Debs, sorry to hear that you had hail with rain. Hope so that it didn't make any damage to your garden.

LB and Yvie, hope that you survived heatness 😁.

Yesterday was hot at morning, but it was windy later so it was pleasant at cottage. I done some work outside, but nothing serious.
This morning I have tour with my friends from Hungary all over the town.

My little harvest from yesterday. I forgot to photo potatoes.

    First pomegranate flower this year.
