They all had a lovely time thanks T'Bird. Sis was talking about our ladies week away in France before this latest quarantine issue arose and I think we are hoping it might still just happen. 3 of us are definitely up for it but it will all depend on circumstances. We were talking about driving down this time. I love driving in France.

Hi folks,  I've read back and caught up with all your news.
Lovely to see the Whales Ante.  Have never seen one in the wild but did swim with dolphins in the open sea in Mexico.  It was amazing.
Sorry to hear that your skin is so sore Chey.  Hope you get some relief soon, as LB says the weather wont be helping.
It's much cooler here today and the garden is looking so much better after the recent storms.
Secondborn has put a holding deposit on a rental house and I'm sure now that her mind is made up and that she will be creating a second home for the boys as soon as possible.  I know she hasn't been happy for a while and have noticed a change in her.  She has lost all her confidence.  I'm afraid her husband has severe OCD and likes to control absolutely everything she does and constantly picks her up on even the slightest thing.  She has always been a strong independant person (which is one of the things he says attracted him to her).  I think she thought she could help him to moderate his behaviour but now realises that she can't and it's getting worse and worse.  I have a feeling the next few months wont be easy.

Oh dear Yvie. I can see that she will depend on your support through what will obviously be a difficult time ahead. Having made the decision, she has at least shown that she has some inner strength left and all good luck to her.

GW is late tonight but as its coming from Adam's garden, I think it might be more interesting than Monty has been just recently.

I am signing out for tonight. It has gone very hot and sticky here. I hope Ante has had a good day and that Chive had a good meet up with her Mum. See you all tomorrow.

Topbird I know, although I’ve seemed to have become used to it.  Night night all, sleep well.
  • It is too hot and airless to sleep. It was a lovely afternoon. I sat out in my ancient deckchair with my knitting and so much sheer beauty around me..  ocean and sky, a dragonfly, a butterfly on the deora de. And a soft breeze. Even cut a little more hay; and it is a richer hay than the field next door, full of clover and all kinds of goodies. It will shed its riches in next year;s rain on my potatoes

But now it is oppressive and stifling.  Just two more days then it is due to cool, well out here at least . Hopefully over there too.

Sleep well.  I can always catch up   tomorrow. A peaceful weekend out here.

    Good morning to all!
I finally slept properly. Around midnight long awaited storm arrived. Rain, thunders and most important cooler air. It's so pleasant right now.
I was exhausted from work on land but I don't want bother you with same photos all the time.
It will be much easier to cook today so I'm glad that my friends changed plans yesterday. Here is church/state holiday so only necessary shops will be open.

Chey, nice to see you. Sorry that you have skin problems again.

Yvie, your daughter will need your help and support in next period. She must think also on herself and I think that she made a wise choice.

T'bird, I'm glad that your tooth is sorted.

I mentioned that I got plant catalogue few days ago. First order is placed; banana Musa basjoo, 50 tulip bulbs and 5 tree lily bulbs
