    Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're there.
Glad you had a good day @floralies and @Yviestevie. Much needed for you both to have a little bit of 'normal' and some sunshine.
Difficult time for you too @AuntyRach. Hope you're ok - and also - not getting any flooding or weather problems there.
Murky and smirry here, so I shall have my breakfast first, wait until all the weans have got to school and go out then.
@Hostafan1 - that was a nice customer. Daughter had one yesterday who asked her [just 'cos she was there] why one of the checkout staff had gloves on. [PPE] Daughter explained, and the woman said she didn't approve and wouldn't come back to the shop, and went off to complain to a manager.
I said to her 'did you just wave bye bye to her?' or words to that effect....
You really have to wonder what planet some folk are on. I hope they contact every supermarket for miles around and ask all their staff to wear gloves  :D

    Morning all.
    I'm going for a 2nd viewing on a house I like.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Is this the one with the bypass @Busy-Lizzie, or another potential ?  Hope it goes well.

Just been and watered the greenhouse, collected a load of tomatoes, french beans, cucumbers and courgettes 😋

Now off to Bournemouth for the day (Chicklet has Mondays off) with a car full of the things she couldn’t fit in her mini.  Looks like we’ll have to dodge the showers 🌦🌦🌦

    Hi all

Torrential rain yesterday, everything is looking very bedraggled [ rather exposes my lack of adequate staking ]
Hope the house viewing is successful @Busy-Lizzie.
    Have fun with chicklet @chicky

Morning all, Cracking headache this morning and no Anadin.  Hubby is going to pop to the shop for me to pick some up.  Paracetamol just don't seem to work for me and I have to be careful with Ibruprofen (IBS).  Secondborn's Mother and Father in Law are driving down from the Lakes today.  She thinks they are coming to try and persuade her not to move out.  Don't think they realise how many chances she has given him over the past couple of years.  Their mariage is very much based on Husband makes all the decisions and Wife does as she's told and I don't think they understand why Secondborn isn't prepared to live like that.
We have had a lot of rain over the last few days and the lawns are greening up nicely.  The plants seem OK but I think we are expecting high winds over the coming week which might wreak havoc with the dahlias.  We have finished Hubby's packing and he is all ready to go tomorrow.
Hope the house viewing goes OK @Busy-Lizzie

Oh @Yviestevie - how horrible for your daughter. Sometimes parents are blinded to the realities of their offspring's behaviour. I hope she can stand her ground. I was quite lucky that, although I didn't care for my MIL, she didn't try and pretend her son was perfect and everything was my fault. She didn't interfere. My parents weren't very well and I hid most of it from them for a long time.
    Stress induced headache?
Chucking it down here now, so I timed my walk quite well and didn't get the full force, just the bits and pieces. High winds for us later this week too.
    Fingers crossed for @Busy-Lizzie

Hi @Fairygirl I suggested that Secondborn call her MIL this morning and chat things through with her.  She was on the phone to her for 2 hours this morning and apparently she has decided not to come down after all.  I know that she does realise that her son has issues but I don't think she has realised how much this has been affecting Secondborn.

That's good @Yviestevie. It can  be even more stressful if people 'take sides'. Hard enough without all that.
Your daughter sounds like she's being strong from the start. More power to her elbow  :)
