Staying indoors ... we have rain as well as wind now.
Neighbour up the rise has been inspecting the far side of his huge pollarded Robinia which has branches thrashing about ... he seemed to have some tools with him ...

Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're there. There's always a bunch of fannies @Obelixx who think nothing applies to them, as we've seen all too often recently. As you say - rough weather was well forecast for most of the country, to varying degrees. Hope no one has any serious damage. I had to tie sweet pea pots to railings or the bench a while ago. They're too top heavy to survive all summer without it at some point. Still raining here, but the wind dropped to normal levels last night as it all headed north east. I'll wait until it clears a bit before going out. Boots are still wet from yesterday, as I forgot to reproof them after the last time. D'oh. I suppose I could get my good ones out of the car though. Not much else will be happening I expect. I even went out with younger fairylet yesterday for a little while. She needed to get some new socks and 'under garments'. About time - she's had the same knick knacks since she was about 12. Somehow - I doubt they'll be going to the charity shop!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all. We've just looked at our Norfolk cottage on the iPad, we have cameras there. It's windy, no rain. Forecast says wind will drop and sun will come out this afternoon. Quite cloudy here, 21°, should be cooler than yesterday.
I will weed the other half of the greengage tree bed, it hasn't been weeded since last autumn so is very overgrown and a mole has been busy. Despite the recent heavy rain the earth is dry and rock hard.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Thanks for the sympathy @Busy-Lizzie ... bless my Under Gardener ... I came downstairs after my ablutions to find he’d already been out there in the wind and drizzle and the wigwam and sunflowers are now vertical again. 🥰 I think the courgettes and squash plants will survive 🤞

Poor second round for me there @Dovefromabove - 12 , but 27 on the first I'll take that. I'll get the waterproofs on now. Glad the beans are ok - you definitely don't want 'has beans' ....
I'll get me coat an' all....

I would have PMd but I seem to be having a problem in that department.
