Good evening all, lovely day a good walk and chat with a friend I’ve not seen properly for a long while very enjoyable,
LB Glad it all went well with Lily this morning, no bad feelings from Lily after and a hearty appetite always a good sign. Sounds like a nice afternoon spent with bestie & Sofia too,
Yvie hope the family arrive safely home, it will be nice to see your grandsons on Monday a good start to the week,
Rosie hope the i*****g is done and something better going on, Nel is fine thank you,
Island it sounds as though you have a good amount of resources for passing the time away and company from your furry friends,
T’bird I hope you’ve managed to catch up on your emails. It’s unbelievable how dry everything is
the grounds become concrete again & I’ve just used the last of my back up water barrel,
Lily I hope you’ve enjoyed your day feeling a little more refreshed,
Hazel hope you’re not too worn out from the visit this morning,
Rubee I hope you’ve enjoyed a good day in the garden,
Come in now to cool off, will do some watering later on have a nice evening everyone.
  • I am now the meat in the sandwich.. The two small black former street cats have decided to sleep on my pillow, one on either side, curled up. and well away. So much love these critters have and so much trust. They honour me.

Island the cats certainly make a home cosy.  LB I’m glad you’ve had such a good day with Bestie and Sophia.  Chive luckily there’s wasn’t too much I.....g this time and I made a pasta bake with a cheese topping, very warming.  My sister came over for a catch up.  Hazel I hope your batteries are recharged.  Lily i hope you had a good day.  Topbird hope you managed to get on top of things.  Night night everyone, sleep well.

Goodnight Rosie, LB & Hazel, Goodnight everyone sleep well.
  • Happy … pauses to work out what day it is! Ah thank you computer; happy Friday. All days are the same here now.
You all sound so happily busy with greater freedom than a while ago. Here we are facing more restrictions as the virus is spreading again.
Had my chat with Canada and got instructions for my next knitting. I call my knitting a well-channelled nervous twitch so am  never ever without.  The big box of yarn may arrive today. I mean big enough to sleep in..I knit as I watch films etc and even when I have paper books as I read.
No hot weather here. Listening to the wind, a companionable sound. Glad others here enjoy it too.

    Stay safe; stay well!
  • Rise and shine time? Had asleep and waking to high winds and deluges. They warn of thunder even, so another summer day out here.  Need to ferret out some yarn as the big box will not arrive today.

Good morning Island and all to follow. Island I only managed 4 rows of knitting at my friends yesterday. Sofia, her granddaughter is such a fun distraction. Aaah Hazel, you sound to have had a wonderful day with 23. I love the sound of the cuddly cheeky monkey and what a great idea about the velcro. I hope your new umbrella arrives soon as you may need to use it as a parasol this weekend. Lily is all medicated up and has got her 'bounce' back. Ante, I am bracing myself after constant rain to being toast today - according to the weather forecast. The south is due to be hotter than Jamaica - who would have thought! Chive your meet-up sounds like mine was, just so nice to get out and do the walking and nattering at the same time. Yvie I hope that the difficult situation has eased a bit today. Are you looking after the grandsons today? T'Bird, did you get your new printer organised? I have to say I am very pleased with mine.I was offered the new ink scheme, where you get regular supplies monthly but as I don't use it as often as I did when working I declined that.

Youngest daughter came for tea last night she is coming to the end of her morning sickness thankfully. Lovely to see her.
Son who has been living with me has now lost both his jobs due to COVID. Not sure what he will do.
    Enjoy your Friday everyone
