Good Morning Island, LB & Debs and all to follow, 🥵 warm one today…⛱ well done on the quiz answers 👏
Island shame about the yarn delivery, hope you have a good day,
LB good to hear Lily is back to her normal self, will you be out in the garden today? Looks to be a scorcher,
Debs pleased to hear your youngest is coming to the end of her morning sickness, but I’m sorry about your sons jobs that’s a real blow for him. Enjoy your time with eldest GD today and your allotment,
Hazel I love the sound of cuddly Cheeky Monkey and 23 clearly loves him too I bet he’ll be going everywhere with him 🤗
Im taking mum back to the opticians this morning for her follow up appointment.
Have a good day everyone ☀️
  • The sun is trying to come out and the wind has eased, It can change so quickly here. Three days in hospital has wrecked me M.E wise and I am fighting to stay mobile. Dratted knee in a mess, Ah well, I can still knit, so all is well. The yarn may get here; if they got it off before the PO closed as I have often been amazed at things sent from Dublin arriving the following morning, but else I will be doing baby hats with oddments. Although the chaos poor India is in with covid.. our people are firmly barricaded in. But the hats will keep
Probably no gardening for me today but you never know.  Life holds many surprises!.

    Puzzled.. 23??

Enjoy the day … I intend to!

Morning! You may find me in a little melted puddle soon. Forecast is for unrelenting heat of low to mid thirties from now until next Thursday when it should drop to mid twenties. Heck! Thank goodness for ice cubes and ice lollies! Must make sure there’s water for the insects, birds and cats.

LB - printer is on order thank you. We’ve been advised to go for a laser printer this time. The ink jets on our current printer seem to be drying up because it’s not been used much recently - only so many hard copies to be printed in lockdown... Use the scanning & copying functions a lot though.

Debs - sorry to hear about your son - worrying times for him and you. Hope your OH is still enjoying his new job. We’ve decided to indulge in a couple of Eat Out to Help Out sessions. A good way to try out a couple of local restaurants we fancy and, if we like what they offer, we’ll go back and pay full price later in the year.

Chive - hope all goes well for your mum.

Island - rest and enjoy the sound of the weather. K1 P1....

Quick SM trip to buy beer for OH then I need to find some cool activities.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Quick explanation re 23 Island. Hazel's grandson was due whilst we were on Resurrected 23 and I suggested that we should call him that. It stuck. I might be wrong and others will correct me but I think he was the first grandchild to be born when the Resurrected thread started. Still overcast here so I'm off out before any sun arrives. SYL.

  • The MIDGE is swarming, Nipped to the gate to seek peas and am now itching frantically; a few came back in the house with me. DEATH to all midges. And meanwhile no outside for me.
Sorted out a banking problem with a phone call. Great!

Right; where is that yarn? I cable everything; used to knit great huge sweaters for the export industry but the pay was peanuts. Now they are all knitted by poor Portuguese women except for the top firms.

Done a bit in the garden but I think I am going to be one of the lucky () ones who will have rain today! Whoopee Doo! I'm in for a cuppa and then I need to fill the bird feeders. Their baths are both, scrubbed and refreshed.

  • The midges are swarming and seeking blood so no gardening today... AND THE WEEKEND HAS STARTED!
The post has been; no yarn but I have dealt with all other issues. Sorted enough oddments to keep me happy...
Just me and my  cats for the whole weekend now.

Oh the new bed I etched out at the back is looking rather fine; will take a photo when the invaders have gone.
