A friend of mine’s brother has been off work for 3 years after catching Lymes disease, so I will be super vigilant. I know it’s a real problem if you don’t treat it early 😢
You have my sympathies chicky, tick no.20 removed yesterday plus 3 others caught before they could bite in. It does make me slightly paranoid with every itch a suspect that needs closer inspection.
It's odd cos our cats and dogs get an anti tick and flea thingummy on the nape of their neck every 2 months and that works. Why can't there be one for hoomans too?

Too hot for me today, up to 31.7, so after usual walk, did some washing, read the paper and then endeavoured to order a new wrought iron side gate - a bit of a palaver. Seems the website I first looked at was an old one and when I phoned the company, was told the gate I wanted at £109 was not stocked any more and the nearest match was now £194! Crikes. Seems that gates with swirly scrolls are dead unfashionable now but I wanted one to match the existing one the other side of the house. Did another quick search but it appeared to be a better quality than the rest so have now ordered one.
That's horrible @chicky - hope you're ok. Nasty little things if you don't get them out Lovely photo @Pat E - the reflections especially. G;ad you had a good day @Dovefromabove . I haven't seen my sister in ages, but she sees her grandchildren, and that's more important in the grand scheme of things. Far too hot for me today [25 at one point] and it was mostly cloudy this morning - I've been inside for quite a lot of it. Thunder and rain now, so hopefully that will clear the air a bit. I managed to get some little projects done though, so I'm quite happy.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Bitsy sort of day today starting with Rasta haircut at 9am and Bonzo nail trimming at 11am and PO and sewing in between. I've sent off a pair of linen palazzo pants to Possum as they're too big and baggy for Obxx - 8kilos and she is 4inches/11cms taller and always coveted them. More pottering this pm and some sewing.
Much watering this evening as it is so hot and dry and the water police will be stopping us soon so I need to get as many roots as possible as soaked as possible and tomorrow I'll start on cuttings, just in case.
No grass to cut here @Hostafan1. If it's green it's a weed! The rest is hay or straw.
