I hope you can be a part of the group @punkdoc. I’m sure your expertise will be beneficial to our country - nothing pompous about having a skill and choosing to use it for the greater good. Challenging prospect though. I also have the impression that the critical care world is gearing-up for another surge. Our hospital is potentially moving early to the newly built Specialist and Critical Care Hospital so we can isolate and treat more patients this Winter.

Warm and sunny with a gentle breeze here - wonderful.

We drove out the back this afternoon to check water levels in the 3 dams out there. We are quite pleased. The steel post in the second photo is our old water level, so that’s a good result. Nearly there. 😁

Yes,  not bad are they Punkdoc. Funny thing is that I wasnt trying for that, just concentrating on the water levels.  The sun is quite low in the sky now, so I’m getting different shots.

I’ve dug over a bit of a garden bed and sown Broad Bean seeds today. I hope they are still viable. I’ve had the packet for a long time.,🙄. I imagine it won’t be long before I find out one way or the other.

I must try to put a photo on that Hubby got with the wildlife camera this morning. That’s if he cast cleared it off.  Will check in later.

I think I’ve done it. Let me know if it didn’t work.
The story is that I noticed that there was a flattened area of grass under the Grevillea, so I asked Hubby to set up the wild life camera to try to find out what is bedding down there.  This is what came out.

    @Pat E 🩘 😃

We had a lovely visit from Wonky ... she got here earlier than planned and has just left ... it’s cooler in here far with the aircon than it is anywhere here. Lovely to see her ... haven’t seen them since our visit just after Christmas.

Lovely photos @Pat E and a lovely lodger too.

Great that you could see Wonky after such a long time @Dovefromabove .

I've just been to the PO to post some linen trousers to Possum and did a detour on the way home to buy another couple of salvias, one helpfully called "Blue" and the other a Buchananii which isn't going to be hardy, even here, but I love the colour of the flowers so it can live in a pot and spend winter in the polytunnel.

When I went to close the gates on my return I spotted a lone flower of one of my autumn daffodils.   Bit early!!

Glad you and Wonky had a good catchup Dove 😀

I’ve spent an interesting morning (not) waiting to be seen in the minor injuries unit.  Found a tic in my side and when Mr C removed it he left a leg behind.  Tweezers, pins etc were wielded to no avail so I decided I’d let the professionals have a go.  The nurse got a bit more out but possibly not all, so have come home with some sort of drawing bandage, some mag sulph paste for later and lots of instructions on how to spot infection and Lymes disease.  Happy days 😳

Sitting out in the sun now.  Very hot but also very windy - an odd combination for this country.  Promised thunder and lightning later đŸŒ©

    Loved your roo @Pat E

Hope you’ll be ok with the tick bite Chicky.

Sorry my photo of the roo with her Joey hanging out wasn’t very clear but at least we now know who has been curling in that spot.   It’s after1 am, so better go to bed. Happy August folks.

Not so clever @chicky!   Hope it all comes out OK and if you do have the misfortune to get Lyme's, catch it quick with antibiotics cos it can really mess with your health.   Daughter of a friend of mine, now in her 40s, ignored it and now is crippled by arthritis, neuralgia and all sorts of nasties.

OH wants to know if I fancy a walk at the coast before dinner.  Not really, the radar show it's raining there while we are bathed in sunlight still.  Maybe try an easy walk round here with the dogs, avoiding all the lumpy bumpy lanes that will knacker the knee.

At least that hot wind has gone.  Looks like you've got it @chicky
