Feeling rather down tonight, spoke to son recovering from his long stint in hospital, he has aggravated his hernia by over doing it, also having some chest pains. I have told him to slow down. His wife heard today that she has to go back in after her breast cancer op as they have found C cells in two more lymph nodes. They really don't need all this, she has to quarantine herself again for another two weeks. I feel so helpless being over here, all I can do is keep reassuring them.
Keep safe everyone, I will feel brighter tomorrow and the sun is going to shine!

Sometimes life just doesn't seem fair @floralies

    Good morning.

@floralies I feel your pain - knowing that you are in another land and able only to give the help and support they need by phone or internet.    We have sunny days down here but still windy - dry.

@Liriodendron I hope (or hoped) everything goes well with the birth of your grandchild.

    Have a pleasant day everyone.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A bright morning so far ... I  need to prick out the aquilegias cos it seems @Fairygirl was too busy to pop down here and do that little job for me 😉 😆 Tonight’s supper is a special treat ... I’m making my friend Mamta’s recipe for lamb pasanda for supper https://www.mamtaskitchen.com/recipe_display.php?id=12834#:~:text=%20Instructions%20%201%20Flatten%20Lamb%20pieces%20by,most%20of%20the%20liquid%20is%20absorbed.%20More%20 ... the meat has been marinating since yesterday ... it’ll go in the slow cooker this morning 🍽

Morning all/afties Pat if you're around.
Horrible for you @floralies. Life can be dreadfully unfair. I hope you're ok and that the sun is shining for you.
Fingers crossed for you too @Liriodendron, and the family. Takes me back to 26 years ago, when I was in labour with oldest. She kept me waiting a long time.
Sorry @Dovefromabove - I had to get on up here, as I knew I'd get nothing done today. We even have a weather warning for rain today and tomorrow. Load of old rubbish. How on earth did we used to manage...
I might have to do h'work as well  :#
