Just watched a gruesome murder. I was sitting out in the garden and out of the corner of my eye, saw something very rapid fly in. It was a Sparrow Hawk, which rapidly dispatched a Blackbird and started pulling its guts out. Got up to go and fetch camera, but that spooked it.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Need a drink. A serious DRINK. My small mobile phone died this morning and could not be resuscitated. Am sweating as if that had been when I needed help.... It is a tesco pay as you go. I have spent three hours online sorting a new one. Need a drink
I think my garden is trying to kill me. Again. Some nasty little noseeum got inside my gloves while digging out a small beech tree yesterday. At least 18 swollen puncture weals on my wrist and a few more on the back of my neck for good measure. Had to resort to antihistamine tablets which make me drowsy although they do help with the itching and swelling.

Ouch @steephill - You can get "one a day" non drowsy making anti-histamines in LIDL or ALDI (friends brought them for me and I can't remember which) and pay much more for the same in Boots. There are periods of our year here where I take one every day. Some cortisone cream is good too - for the larger, horse-fly sized biters. Otherwise I come up in lumps the size of a tennis ball.

Sorry... the OUCH was my comment. I am no good at replying on posts!
We had a lovely day out ... we bought lots of fresh fish from the fishermen’s hut ... plaice fillets, ray wings, locally smoked haddock, a heavy dressed brown crab for my lunch tomorrow and two big plump mackerel literally just landed off the boat ... we’ve just had them (lightly spiced and baked whole) for our supper with a lettuce from the garden.
Oh how I’ve missed really fresh fish... supermarket fish just isn’t the same.
We had a picnic on the beach ... quite a few families with small children paddling and squealing, everyone being sensible and staying in their distanced groups. Then we had a walk through the harbour with cameras and sketchbooks. Lots of stuff to work on later. 😊
Now I’ll have a look around and see what’s been going on here ...

Fish suppers, bird murders, climbing up walls, house hunting, itchy bites, broken phones... what a day you have all had!
Just about to do a stir-fry duck and veg creation here - then will be settling down for GW with a gin. Have a pleasant evening all.
