  •  Good morning everyone! Light well established out here but totally still and silent . So not venturing outside until/unless a breeze.  noseeums are swarming.  So a peaceful rest time.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Hope you’ve all had a restful night.
We have glorious sunshine burning off the clouds here in the east ... today we’re packing a picnic and sketchbooks and heading for a quiet spot on the coast ...
Hopefully we’ll come home with some fresh fish bought direct from the boats. 😋

Went to be just after 11pm and slept thru till 9am and don't feel hungover.   Amazing.   Lots of achy bits tho with arthritic grumblings all over.  That'll teach me to let the turmeric slide.

Have a great day out @Dovefromabove.   Hot sun already here but the new bed is in shade this early so cream on and off we go.

Hope you got a good sleep at last @Hostafan1 and that your weeding hasn't worn you out @punkdoc.

Good luck @Busy-Lizzie.   I assume the amount of work needed on the house you like is reflected in the price so maybe arrange to house sit for absent friends while it all goes on?   Supervise from comfort?

I need more coffee before I get going.    Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all.
Grey and damp out. Very uninspiring.
Thanks @Obelixx best night for ages .

Good @Hostafan1 .  Day in the polytunnels then?   I'd quite like some "damp".  I shall pop briefly into ours but only to rescue the stand with seed trays on for sowing later on in the cooler potting barn.

Have just ordered loads of turmeric to sort out my bits.  Stiff hands, neck and shoulders  too today and that's not funny for someone who gardens, cooks and sews!

@floralies - my May and June issues of The Garden have just arrived so you should get yours too.

    Evening all.

On what planet is that acceptable when a fellow human is doing a service for you? Not cool.

Some people are a***holes. Been saying it for years. There's a core of people who simply don't care about anything or anyone but themselves. Sad, but true.

Fortunately, most are reasonably decent  ;)
Anyway, morning all/afties Pat if you're there.
How strange that people do up bathrooms & kitchens etc, but don't bother with the important stuff @Busy-Lizzie. Maybe they started it all, and got fed up!
I tried turmeric @Obelixx, but it doesn't seem to do anything for my achy areas.
Dried up here yesterday afternoon, and was even a bit sunny later in the evening. Cloudy today, and there's been some more rain overnight. I had lots of condensation on the bedroom windows this morning, so I was expecting a low temp, but it hadn't been below 10. Should make the most of today outside, as it's to be pretty iffy for the foreseeable. I have wires to put up for the third clematis.
All the little birds must have another lot of babes in the pipeline. They've been stuffing their beaks endlessly in the last few days. It's like Sauchiehall Street on a Saturday out there just now.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I know a few people it hasn't helped @Fairygirl and one of them swears by her daily hemp and also starting the day with a spoonful of cider vinegar.   I'll PM you the hemp link if I can find it.

I have just had an interesting time climbing up and down the wall of a raised bed wherein grows the only clematis we inherited.  No idea what it is but I've decided it's never going to climb the giddy heights of the obelisk I gave it once it did respond to some TLC so have swapped in a smaller one with more bits for it to grab for support.   Now it looks squished so I may have to do a plan C this autumn.

    Hello all.
Daughter and family have gone canoeing. We are going to see a house this afternoon which has heating and looks pretty with a spacious kitchen.
