Just been up to the Punchbowl, comet watching ☄️ .  Were surprised how many people had the same idea.  A couple who knew what was what showed us where to look - and with the help of a pair of binoculars on loan from my Dad - we saw it.  Came home, and with our newly acquired skills realised we could see it from our garden after all 🤣

I've just been out and seen it too. Not very bright, but I did see it
    Devon.

  • Seeking some simple green company. Light dawning out here in the utter silence. As wet as ever.

    Morning all.
Hoping it stays dry for my shift at the coal face, but much needed rain later
    Devon.

Good morning @Hostafan1 and everyone else as you arrive ... and good to see you @islandanchoress 😊 think we’ve met before? Hope you’re having a good summer. How’s the knitting?
It looks as if you’ll be getting plenty of rain over the next week @Hostafan1 ... according to the forecast we’re getting a couple of fairly good days and plan to head to the coast tomorrow and try to get some fresh fish off the day boats. Don’t think we’ll head for our nearest seaside tho https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/bomb-disposal-team-on-scene-as-cromer-pier-sealed-off-1-6758874

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there.
No chance of comet sightings here - not been any clear skies for a while. Lovely photos @steephill :)
Wet again here today, so I think the waterproofs will be on again for a walk. It cleared up yesterday afternoon and evening, and I think it's to be drier later on today.
Hope the teeth are well enough fro the house hunting @Busy-Lizzie ;)
Will the prog be shown here in the UK @D0rdogne_Damsel ? We expect to see you floating around in the background looking glamorous...

We just had our lovely dinner. I still use the old recipe from Paul Bocuse for his potato and leek soup. It’s the only reason I grow Chervil.  😁. There’s even enough for tomorrow night.

    Nice and warming @Pat E  :)
I've got some chicken stock on the go for soup. I love a bowl of soup for lunch. If the girls aren't in, I often have that for dinner too.

    Morning all 😀

We watch A new life in the sun - will keep our eyes open in January 👀

Busy day here as our gas tank is being replaced. They are likely to block the road for 30 minute spells at a time, so we’ve had to alert the neighbours and get contingency plans in place. 🤞🏻 it all goes according to plan 🤞🏻
