It was about his downward spiral @Hostafan1 - a cry for help really. Heartbreaking, but he's still there and still playing. Not in the way he could, unfortunately.

Same here @Fairygirl ... he has family around here ... I've seen him in Norwich ... with 'minders'  :'(

Have you seen the documentary - it was on a while ago- called Man of the World? It's quite sad seeing him, but at the same time, he seems very content. He wasn't cut out for it at all.  :(
Sadly, Danny Kirwan, the third guitarist [also brilliant ] died not that long ago. He ended up on the streets, destitute, totally lost.  :/

Yup ... so much talent ... no resilience ... much the same in art.  It’s the tough ones that make it and they’re not always the ones with the most talent. 😢

Indeed so, just look at the Spice Girls. Not a shred of talent in any of them.

I remember my five year old niece bouncing up and down one day when I visited “Aunty Dove, Aunty Dove ... which Spice Girl do you want to be when you grow up?”

For the first time in my life I thanked my lucky stars that as I was well into my forties I must be well and truly grown up and those were options no longer open to me. 😂
