Should that matter? Everyone should be equal on the forum regardless if they have 5 or 50 posts or whether they’ve been gardening 5 hours or 50 years.

No, of course it doesn't matter.  I was just replying to Foxwales' question, which was how we knew he was a newcomer.

Post count doesn't mean I'm a new comer, just reflects how much I post  ;)

Sorry couldn't resist, I would take @punkdoc 's advice, but unfortunately I'm not allowed out.

Like your posts GemmaJF, yes that cheeky pd telling us we should get out more, we wish.  I love dogs, have got 2, they are as much a bit of our family as my kids, can remember loosing every single one of them.Ours are the same, you are gardening, they are there with you

So sad to hear about Nigel, it reminds us of out own lost pets so we sympathize.

I was so sorry to read just now that Monty’s dog Nigel has died. He was a star.

In Italian class this morning we were talking about the saddest moments in our lives and the death of pets featured prominently.

That's really horrible news. Sincere condolences Monty. After 53 years of owning dogs I know just how hard it is.  Not even 12 seems far too young. I'm really, really sorry. My dog will be looking for him. She watches every programme just looking  for Nigel.
