It's when they get to point of thanking the postman and the milkman, you really wonder... ;)
and they mention grandchildren who are only months old .I'm sure they're thrilled to hear their names mentioned.

Got our flags out as well, but only saw three other decorated houses in the village when we did our daily walk to get the newspaper.
I tied our two flags to the trellis on front terrace, standing on a stepstool in the dark last night - now how foolish was that!
Got my Magnums at the ready for 3 pm - can't wait.

    Morning all.
21° is forecast. I shall be gardening. I have all those plants I bought yesterday to plant. What a good farm shop that was, will have to go again
I couldn't find the list of purchases

Sorry Hosta. The list was on another gardening forum. Got muddled in my excitement.
Here it is, probably bore the pants off you all:

Monarda "Cambridge Scarlet", Polemonium, Veronica Longifolia "First Match", Echinacea Magnus, Gaillardia "Sunset Celebration", Astrantia "Star of Treasure", Coreopsis Big Bang "Star Cluster, Salvia Sensation Blue, Campanula Lactiflora "Prichards Variety", Heuchera "Fire Chief" and Geranium "Summer Skies".

They are decent sized plants, bigger than the mail order ones, only £3.99 each.

I've planted them all now. Don't think there is much room left to plant anything else, maybe a Hosta, there is a spare shady spot!

That's what I thought @Hostafan1, another excuse for a repeat visit to the nursery and farm shop. I only have 10 Hostas.

Meant to say - I saw the Red Arrows fly over the garden this morning on their way south.

I remember they flew directly over our house as we sat in the garden on my daughters birthday. I looked at my watch and said , yeah, they told me it'd be at this time.
For years she thought I'd organised it for her.

Wish I'd seen them as well. Cardiff is a bit too far to spot them.
