Morning, do you know what the problem is with your shoulder Dove? I have had 3 frozen shoulders over the years, they kept me awake for years, I just couldnt get comfortable, pain killers had no effect
Morning all. 21° is forecast. I shall be gardening. I have all those plants I bought yesterday to plant. What a good farm shop that was, will have to go againÂ
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning all/afties Pat - take it easy You too @Dovefromabove . You're not getting any younger you know....
I know we're commemorating VE Day, but it's also another anniversary. 50 years to the day since the release of the Beatles album which spawned the [previously released] single of the same name. Could there be a more appropriate lyric for our times?
When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
And when the broken hearted people Living in the world agree, There will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is Still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be. Yeah There will be an answer, let it be.
And when the night is cloudy, There is still a light that shines on me, Shine on until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to the sound of music Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be, Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
So all the people moaning about not getting the size of eggs they want, or compost, or how they can't go to the pub, it's maybe time to reflect on that highly appropriate set of words. Â
No idea what I'll be doing today. Thankfully it's not to be so hot, and there's plenty of clouds too. Might get on in the front garden - there's some more lily bulbs to find room for. I've not really read back yet , but I hope @Yviestevie and @punkdoc are getting somewhere with the relatives?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Our bunting and flags are up in the front garden ......dug them out yesterday to make an effort. Â Went to a local history talk about our village during the war years a little while back. Â When the powers that be were planning our defence against an expected German invasion, they drew a line from Bristol to London that would be defended. Â We are about 4 miles south of that line, so would have been abandoned to the enemy. Â Thats why we have so many pill boxes and fortifications in the countryside round here. Â Sobering thoughts.
we had a go at making sushi rolls the other evening .....very tasty and good fun 😋
@Busy-Lizzie ’s farm shop inspired me to look up our local nursery/farm shop, who seem to be doing the same (they weren’t when all this started, or I would have used them all along).  Might pay a visit very soon.
Think today is going to be too warm to garden (I am still clearing nettles, which requires gauntlets and long sleeves 🥵) so will sit and admire things instead.  Our wisteria is in full bloom and the scent on our terrace is amazing 😃
Get you @chicky - fame at last! It's a beautiful lyric, although I think My Love is one of his best. I often sing it to myself. My dad played with Pete Townsend's dad [as in music - not on the swings] but the less said about that 'person' the better He always said his Dad was a nice chap, and a very good musician. Funny you getting rid of nettles. I took some little cuttings of some last year to put behind the shed. You could just have sent them up to me I was laughing at the choices on R2 earlier - they were by old Vera. First two - as you'd expect, that dirge We'll Meet Again, then When the Lights go on Again. I couldn't help hoping her third one would be The Ace of Spades by Motorhead....

@Fairygirl, if I remember correctly, you have a bit of a hate thing going on with a couple of our most famous axe men. Is there some reason buried deep in your past?Â
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

I think I shall be copying @Dovefromabove and reading in the garden, may persuade Moira to follow some instructions, not her strongest point.

Although I do have sympathy for Page, living next door to that clown Williams.Â
