Good morning Chive, LB, debs and all to follow.
One more beautiful morning here. I was busy all day yesterday and I'll be today too. My cousin and I started to prepare land for potato planting and it's a huge job. I must prepare all before rain next week.

LB, how is your cough? Better, I hope. Don't need those exercise this morning. My backs are still stiff since yesterday.

    Aquilegia is in bloom.

Morning Debs - you snuckered in. I feel more exasperated than down. Come on here and talk to us. We are all in it together and supporting one another is a way to go. We are lucky to have gardens to go into, even if its just to sit in the sunshine. Chin up Chuck.

I have just about got back to my "normal" routine, apart from taking the dogs on the beach or the woods, I am ambarssed to say I have found it really difficult.  The first couple of weeks I couldnt be bothered to wash my hair, I had just changed hairdressers, the second one who is ironically only 10 minutes walk, we really gelled, had hair done January, made next appointment, was 2 month wait, she is part retired and was very booked up, cut my fringe twice myself (Had only just desided to have a fringe typical!!)Then lockdown, she had to stop. Out of the blue, I was diagnosed with (very) high BP, was told I had to have scans to make sure it hadnt damaged my heart, because it wasnt known how long it had been that high. One night, I had a lovelly soak in the bath, book, glass of wine  I do a lot of reading, dont watch TV for the sake of it, ordered 13 books from closing down sale.  Coulndt get loo paper, pasta, fresh veg or frozen (got er "tummy" problems related to) w werent completly out of these things, but I hadnt panic bought.  Hubby being at home driving me nuts. Another bad week, normally, I am so busy, I have my 2 grnakids scool hols, they are 9 and 10 and a right handful.  they live 65 mile round trip, taking elderly friend for Dr and nurse appointments, sometimes twice a week, making cakes every week for Hubby to take to work, the next week was awful, in the evenings I just couldnt sit still, I wandered around, went outside.  We have a big garden by todays house standards, no-where near as big as some on here, normally come March, I am really busy, but of course Hubby was here, he even did the hanging baskets this year, I always have done them Easter, then leave them in the greenhouse till after the frosts.  I dont have a smart phone, or any of these things you can "see" people on.  Mind you, I rang my 10 year old grandaughter, that actually made me feel worse.  I felt guilty feeling like this because I actualy know someone quite, young,no health problems who is seriously ill with the virus in ITU, not giving any details, on that one, his wife I have known since she was a kid, must be out of her mind. This week, somehow, I am not all jittery, pretty much my normal day.  I worked for the NHS most of my 40 years nursing, get depressing news from friends, which wasnt helping.  I have never worked through anything like this, I have had 13 hour nights shift with 21 acute patients, and 2 of us.  Sorry about the length of the post.

Jutro Ante - you snuckered in as well! That aquilegia is so pretty. Pictures like that really lift my spirits so I thank you for sharing. When I was taking the picture of my Pulsatillas yesterday, I noticed I have an aquilegia ready to burst open so I will take a picture when it does. It is self sown so I have no idea what colour it will be.
I feel a bit stiff after yesterday in the garden but I hope that you and your cousin manage to get the ground prepared for the great potato planting.

I know it’s necessary LB but it’s such a worry financially and FiancĂ© is so worried and unlike himself I was so hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course I know people are ill and that’s so much worse. As Churchill said “ If you are going through Hell, just keep going”
We just have to keep going don’t we?

Gorgeous Aquilegia Ante, one of my favourites the foliage is so delicate and the colours are so pretty and understated. I moved lots when we cleared the “bindweed” bed and they are all flourishing but no flowers as yet. I know they self seed so you never know what to expect. Hope yours is a pretty one LB!

Morning @Nanny Beach. You never need to apologise for a lengthy post. You seem to have a really busy life - but not the sort of 'busy' that helps you feel as if you have had a good time. There are times when you need to spoil yourself and take some 'me' time to help you to relax. The reading and the long baths will help. With your high blood pressure do you qualify for being on the vulnerable register? This will help with getting deliveries at home when needed as you would take priority. You and the other NHS workers are treasures and sometimes I don't think we realise how very stressful it must be for you especially in these strange and difficult times. Each Thursday I hope that our key workers feel a virtual hug from us all as we could not manage without you. You are not taken for granted. I am full of respect for you.

Sorry for photo, tried to edit it and that was the result! It’s my new Herb planter  built around the base of the outside parasol. So pleased with it.

Are those all herbs Debs? Looking good there. That will be a real bee magnet once the flowers start to appear.
