Hiya Chive - been a grand day hasn't it? Got the sprinkler on out front - it's bone dry out there. A couple of days of rain would be welcome and would mean a bit of Col TT stuff might get down. Considering we're not allowed out to play anywhere - my house is filthy!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
waitnose are still selling plants online . They close down when they have enough orders for their staff to cope with . Reopen when the orders are prepared . They are quite expensive but the plants are good .
Evening all. I'm scrubbed and polished and tuning up my pan for 20:00 tonight. I did copious watering yesterday T'Bird and the water levels in the water butts are quite low. Light rain is forecast for Saturday which might help a little.
I've never looked at Waitnose Ruby. I have no more room at present for any more plants though.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Thank you, Topbird, will have a look. Will look at Waitrose too, but have seen their prices on plants in the shops before, so can know they will be expensive. Have ordered a couple of fushias from e€@y this afternoon. Think that's who you meant LB 😉 They will be sent out some time in May. They're not very big, but they were the ones I wanted and were only a few pounds with free p&p. A good turn out at 8 o'clock for the NHS lots of people had saucepan this week.
That is who I meant SGL. Its my favourite shop Good turn out here too. Neighbours over the road shouted that we'll have a date next Thursday! I'm signing out now, I feel nicely tired after gardening today.
Which one are you? See you all tomorrow.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning. Bright and sunny here hoping for a few hours at the allotment before work. Feeling a bit down about the extended lockdown so think some time outside is necessary. Hope everyone has a good day planned
Morning Chive. I got out of bed - what more can I do??? The cough is still annoyingly present but it doesn't make me feel ill at all and I do have times when it seems to have disappeared. It looks as though it is going to be a gorgeous day - sowing some peas today. Those specially designed for patio pots and I also need to move some plants out of pots and into their permanent positions in the garden. It will be a day for pottering - no definite plan as yet. Ex cat sitter asked me yesterday to print a copy of a letter for him. His daughter posted it through my door yesterday and early this morning I took the two documents across the road and stuck them through his letter box. I startled the two drakes on my neighbour's lawn as I went passed but the lane was lovely and quiet and I enjoyed the tiny stroll. Another three weeks of lockdown, that will have messed up my re-arranged Dental appointment! Still I'd rather miss that than catch the virus. I managed to get another grocery delivey organised for Sunday so I won't be short of anything essential.
