    Morning all.   :)

Free grocery delivery for the over-70s and the vulnerable, provided by the lovely Ger from the local Centra supermarket, means I don't have to stand in shop queues or battle for (rare as hen's teeth) delivery or click-and-collect slots.  I'm not even in the relevant categories, but "cocooning" in this neck of the woods includes protecting the vulnerable (ie hubby) by delivering to the family.  This has been extended for a further 3 weeks from tomorrow.  We are extremely fortunate and I really feel for those of you having problems getting what you need.

All that extra time not spent shopping, plus some lovely spring weather, means I've been tackling the garden - at least, the bits not destined to be driven over once the builders are allowed back.  Hope the neighbours will understand that I'm having to grow veg in the front garden this year... and I'm taking the pragmatic course.  Unable to buy seeds for the meadow area I'll be making where the soil has been churned up behind the new shed, I'm sowing all the old packets of hardy annuals there.   :)

Best wishes for a peaceful Easter weekend, and hugs to those who need them.

    Typical eh @Hostafan1
Of course, it's still the case in the [very religious]  islands - nothing happens on Sundays - full stop.
Newer members of staff here don't get the increase for working Sundays etc. Is that the same in England too?

Forgot to mention that we are interested to learn how the builders are intending to remove the orange dumper (pictured in the garden a few days ago) once they're allowed to do so.  The dumper measures 50" between its front wheels, the widest part.  The external insulation, awaiting its final coat of render, makes the current gap between the house and the shed 51"...  we think they may need to demolish part of the (ugly breezeblock) garden wall and take it through the neighbour's field...   :o

Some of those drivers are magicians @Liriodendron but it sounds like losing some breeze block wall might be good anyway.

Have just had a grum on Curmudgeon's cos I stupidly put the hot cross buns in the sunny living room to prove, not realising Bonzo doggy had snuck in behind me.  He did a rapid Labrador Hoover act leaving just 2 before I realised.   Turns out he did us a favour as the very eggy, buttery "next level" recipe I used is not to our taste.

I shall start again using a simpler recipe - Paul Hollywood or Mary Berry?  Decisions!

Hope Bonzo is ok, @Obelixx.  Dried fruit isn't good for dogs, I believe...

    I used Mary Berry’s recipe yesterday @Obelixx
... I’ve used it before and like it ... less faff than PH’s if I remember correctly.

Oh well.  I opted for PH in the end.  Easy enough so far.

Bonzo is clearly feeling a bit stuffed.  I managed to knock over my tupperware of grated cheese when making an omelette for lunch and he just looked at the cheese on the floor.  Rasta got the lot.

Is that yeasty dough  swelling in his warm tum?
