Moi aussi @AuntyRach I faced the hordes at the supermarche [ have I suddenly become French?] It wasn't bad, but I was a bit astonished at the lack of social distancing by some people. Got most of what we needed, and to make up for the lack of favourite choc bar with last week's chippy, I bought KitKats..... I'll ration myself. I promise.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Beautiful sunrise @D0rdogne_Damsel ... I can never see a sunrise nowadays without thinking of Pa ... he invariably woke early in the Lovely Home and the staff would put him in his reclining chair to watch the sun come up over the sea ... he loved it. 😊

Gorgeous sunrise @D0rdogne_Damsel.....makes the magnolia look extra pink 💕
@WonkyWomble I got my thread direct from DMC online because I needed specific numbers. I have used Wye Needlecraft for patterns and they have been good - think they sell thread too.
Lovely out there in the sunshine - positively summery 👒
Afternoon all, @WonkyWomble I use a site called sewandsew.co.uk for all my threads and crossstitch kits.
Been in the garden most of the day, have been weeding, aerating some of the lawn, edging and sorting out pots. Repotted a hydangea Fireworks and took delivery of 6 bags of Ashwoods Supergro compost. Had an hours break chating with my bestie on the phone with a G&T. Got Turkish Kebaps for dinner cooked on BBQ. Off for a shower now to rid myself of all the gunk from the garden.
I'm mucky too. OH and I have have been cleaning out my party barn and organising stuff and I've also pressure washed the inside of the future hen house, the cane sofa and tables in the party barn, the two benches kindly left by the previous owners and loads of sheets of corrugated plastic I bought to make easy tunnel cloches in Belgium. A cupboard and some shelves have been moved in and it will become a potting shed for a while.
Meanwhile, neighbour Bruno went one better today - rotavating in just his boots and knickers and ear defenders so I let Bonzo bark at him for a while.
Possum is having a bit of a meltdown. She can't get to the university library to consult some journals she needs for her thesis so now she can't write anything at all. Giving her half an hour to calm down and will then try again but it's really hard at this distance to come up with advice she'll listen to and doesn't think is impossible when she's in this frame of mind.
No treats for us tonight. It's a "thin" day so lovely garlicky, lemony mushrooms and wholemeal pasta for dinner. No chocolate.
Bon appétit Forkers.

No need to be rude..... Sorry @punkdoc - I somehow missed your post earlier. What's that phrase about things in threes... I do hope she gets some good care now. Not getting any easier for you all. A hug for you and Moira, and your mum, from all of us here xxx I meant to comment on your lovely photos @D0rdogne_Damsel - I was in and out a bit sharpish earlier. Glad you've had a better day. The wee battles all join up, and suddenly it becomes a bit better. I don't get to see sunrises properly from here, but I do get sunsets. Always something very special about them both. Been very productive today. I've sorted my front gate, but one post has been very poor, and I think I may have to replace it. Usual story - the bits where you need to put screws etc into, are the rubbish bits which have split

Salmon lasagne for us with a green salad (ran out of tomatoes , luckily Charlie being more French than English in his eating habits is quite happy with green salad. I am throwing a couple of hard boiled eggs in as we have 180 plus to get through (English breakfasts and cake baking being in decline..... I have made a cheesecake for dessert as a treat too, nearly feels like I am a back at work.
I think meltdowns are probably going to become a bit of a habit @obelixx, it's picking yourself up that's important, & knowing there are friends and family to listen to the rant however ridiculous it might seem.
We are going to try and watch a film this evening without falling asleep. Stargate, old but good allegedly!
Bonne soirée à tous!

Evening. Having a fridge-raid medley dinner tonight - have some ham and salad bits to use, so done new potatoes, a boiled egg and a leftover mini pasty.
My OH has just cut my hair! I needed it a bit shorter as I’m washing my hair daily after work (we have to have a shower before leaving) and it was becoming a faff as quite long.
Bit miffed that its cloudy tonight as the Full Moon is tonight - Pink Supermoon!
